Kuty’s had the best round!! Overall Zykens needs less Choreo and more individual weight when dancing even tho there choreography is the best out of all these teams
They, Zyko and Dykens' choreo routines was too long. You often get penalized for using more choreo during freestyle battles. They were cool, but it was just too much. It really disadvantage duos who does it. Dont know why they did that in this battle. The opponents always counter with strong freestyles.
IMO, what hurts Sarcellite is that almost everything they do is together - that first set intro. combo was good, but they’re so stationary doing it and we’ve seen them do similar patterns in previous battles. I almost think leaving it out and keeping the towel prop move in still wins them that one round at least.
I had to blink twice. For the last month I've felt like a crazy person saying this. I'm spotting more and more Amapiano dance moves. Especially from Rubix. I saw a clip of his during an Afrostyle competition. He did the full pouncing cat move, but in the style of a motorbike. It was genius. They just struggle coz they can't really get the tempo right yet. Laurent is in Germany. He also busted some moves even though it's not perfect. I've been watching them doing Afrobeats and always thought Amapiano is gonna whip them and they attempt it, but the S.A. groove and rythm is unique. Once they get the true rythm and movements it will be even more🔥🔥🔥 Rubix even did it at home . But check out the judge demo of Badgyal. That's a Pianohead that one. Sorry for gushing, but seeing this warms my heart Amapiano to the world. Asambe!

@@LaggyCannon when I posted I haven't watched them yet. I'm actually speechless. I've started watching les twins when lockdown struck last year. I binge watched and eventually I could watch other dancers and dances a little. You know we love dancing and our is so unique that it took a while to be entertained by Hip hop. I still frown at popping. They all dance the same and it look very robotic. Until I discovered Mr. Wiggled. Krump still scare me and I'm easing into breaking. I saw Afrobeats but its still different than our dancing. But lately. Seeing this. I always thought I would see our moves more in House dancing, but these guys are good at this. When Kuty dusted his hands and Rubix dissed them with that Kamo Mphela elbow I was gone. It's so cool to meet people who know the Yanos. Now I hope Rubix and Kuty really show Laurent how to bust the moves.😂 He's still struggling shem. Ok I'm gonna calm down now. 🙈Nice to meet you out here.

Ive noticed the Amapiano moves for a few months now. But this was a bit shocking. I actually laughed out loud. And nogal with a Kamo Mphela attitude. The world is catching up. Laurent tried a move in Germany during their Hennesy tour, but it still looked a bit awkward. You know S.A. moves are deceptive. Looks simple, but try to do it 😂😂. This was very refreshing.
Zykens got insane routines but somehow it limits their potential. At some point you gotta improvize and just let it flows in order to express yourself freely through the beat
yeah you're routines SHOULD NOT be the stand out thing of the battle. That's an issue to me. Choreo, and commando wise they are flawless, but the one on one aspect was a HUGGGGE flaw. They didn't have one WOW moment individually.
Plus they’ve been doing those routines for years now so for those who have been apart of the scene and watching them grow and win multiple different things at this point. The choice to still stick with routines that are proven… but out of date is kind of weird
Man, it's crazy that Zykens greatest strength is starting to detract from them in battles. They arguably have a greater connection than the Twins, but it kinda overshadows their individual identities sometimes (As has been said here by other commentators previously) IMO. Great battle and Rubix & Kuty earned that win.
This is a good example for dancers you don’t have to do hard chores or hard moves just flow with the song I see many dancers including lest wind force themselves into beats just flow with the beat I think kuty has understood it but rubix is getting there
Nice energy and so on.. But that was in the most part less dancing and more choreography by zykens und power moves by the other side.. I don't know it's quite strange too see these battles.. Just what I witnessed out of the battle right here, what do you think?
Too much choreo for Zykens I agree. I liked the structure of Rubix and Kuty’s rounds more because I got to see them dance individually more than the other team.

The rounds were okay but man the DJ is just something else. Keep the beat at least consisted. Cant you see and watch the flow in exchange from the dancers? Not just this round but a couple with the song choices and pattern in transition on each song exchange.
I dont understand why rubix kuty won. I mean it’s 2v2 not 1v1 battle. Everyone in the comment said their ‘individual dance’ are better. Like whats the point of 2v2 lol
2v2 doesn't mean 2 should constantly be dancing, if you make your rounds blatantly revolve around pre-choreographed combos the combos lose their edge. 2v2 means 2 dancers run 1 round each and can use team play to deliver combos. rubix and kuty maintained independence AND synchronicity in their rounds with a healthy balance and tasteful execution. zykens + sarcellite had incredibly impressive combos and choreography but that overshadowed their own individual presences

I would also note that i don't know if what i wrote reflects any official standards, but having watched dance battles for many years those are my 2 cents as an avid fan also observing judges haha. You must follow them on ig. There are a few nice uploads of them dancing during the tour. They were in Germany last week and are in Amsterdam now. At least we get to see them dance still as consolation for not seeing them in battles
i think the problem now about zykens is that they do almost the same choreo for almost every single battle they go its getting kind of tiring to see the same stuff from them
@@DRAGON-ni5im lol thé concept of this battle is about freestyle and choreo, when you do choreo, your opponent loose time to dance, each team has 3mn So learn you subject before talking about it
you're supposed to be showcasing your individuality within yourself and your teammate. the choreo dykens and zyko had was definitely dope, but it wasn't enough to beat the musicality kuty and rubix had going during their rounds, so their loss was definitely justified. you just don't watch enough videos on each individual to understand why it went down as it did. just my opinion though.
Fr, and all the dancers end up being so stale and doing the same old shit. I understand they all have certain moves and style but it feels like they don’t even care about the battle anymore. Especially Kuty and rubix, they barely do anything interesting or new and just get crowd hype now. It’s really disappointing

Quite strange. First, Zykens Sacrellite are supposed to win. evidently rigged. The only way you could give it to the other side was if the cheoreo wasn't supposed to be part of the battle. Otherwise, Rubix and Kuty clearly lost judging by this performance alone (I think by now we should all agree that at some point all dancers become repetitive with certain moves. Hence they become their signature move). Second, is it me or is Kuty becoming THE deciding factor in the recent wins of Rubix & Kuty? It used to be the other way...
Dude was there just be to dykens dance partner lol what was that gotta fight your own battles lol. All that rehearsed shit not gonna work against top level dancers that are freestyling and actually battling.
