the one thing that made me tear up at this moment, wasn’t the music, it wasn’t the pristine acting, it was the fact that the tardis invited ruby in, as opposed to all the other times where the doctor invited their companion aboard or they invited themselves, it was the tardis this time, she unlocked herself to let ruby in, that is a first but such a huge development for the tardis’ personality, since back in season 7 with 11, the tardis hated clara, but eventually warmed up to her, here though, the tardis immediately trusts ruby enough to open herself up to welcome her aboard.

I might be wrong about this, correct me if I’m wrong, but iirc Ruby’s the first NewWho companion to figure out (at least the basics) of who the Doctor is without any direct intervention from them. Every other companion either is told the truth by the Doctor themselves or goes inside the TARDIS (thus learning the Doctor’s identity) as part of their first adventure. It stands as a testament to Ruby’s skills as both an observer and quick thinker that literally the moment things start to slow down she begins to piece it together for herself. Love her

I honestly think they should’ve left Mrs Flood’s line as just “good luck” and had her wink at Ruby instead of adding that whole post-credit scene that kinda felt on-the-nose. Like we already got the gist that she knew something from the fact that she said “good luck” as if this wasn’t her first rodeo. We didn’t need the extra scene.

That look on her face at exactly 2:49: You can literally hear her thinking, “I’m gonna find out what happened to me as a baby”. It echoes Rose in Father’s Day when Doctor accuses her of having an agenda to whizz back and save her dad.

After watching this video, I am starting to wonder who Mrs. Flood really is. She seems to know about the Doctor very well as if she had met him before. Mrs. Flood pretends that she barely knows about the Doctor. If Mrs Flood had met the Doctor before, she had likely have encounter the Eighth Doctor before he became the War Doctor.

Nah the fans are leaving because they had to put up with Chris chibnal ruining the show now rustle has come back and said "everything in chibnals era is cannon" so we have decided to leave. Calling us bigots will make us bigots. I have no issue with diversity being in doctor who and honestly bill is my second favourite companion right behind Amy, I didn't care that she was a lesbian since it felt natural and wasnt shoved down my throat, I hope they keep that same energy and make the doctor feel natural as a gay person rather than forced.
