Perhaps one of my most obscure records to date. I believe this might’ve been a bootleg label. But what info I could find of this particular record is interesting.
This recording is the flipside to be a so-called never before heard recording of Billie Holiday singing “You Wrecked My Life” from 1939 (according to Cash Box magazine, April 15th, 1972, page 9), however, most people who’ve heard it agree it is not Lady Day herself, but an imitator, who that imitator is, no clue.
The side B recoding, the one you’re currently listening to, is probably more scarce of information than side A. Little to no information on it compared to side A. I’m even doubting this is even the Ruby Dee I’m thinking of, considering how sketchy side A is.
