Victor Cornejo I looked at it twice and I saw it differently the second time. The point the writer were trying to make is clear. Ruby didn’t want her because she was too aggressive, and the social stigma from being with her (agressive and annoying.) He evolved because he got older and he slowly started to see her and that’s a different type of love That why you see the ending the way it is because if it was superficial it would have dwindle out. The last scene reflected his growth. So throughout you see him and Jasmin develop and you realize it was destined That they’d be together she even said it. It wasn’t out of desperation because ruby had girls attracted to him. It was because ultimately they have chemistry/ similarities and it displays itself throughout the series.
