Ruby Of India (Mt Maroon Climbing) 

Nice place and amazing multipitch i heard. Definitely on my agenda (with helmet and walky-talky)

Nice helmet. . . . My brother and I set out to do this climb a few weeks back. I was just leaving the belay to lead the second pitch when he asked me why I only had one shoe clipped to my harness. After spending a while looking for it we decided to bail, rather than me have to walk all the way down the mountain with one shoe. I'm itching to get back there and do it this season though.

@coralnerd Yeah I mant it is foolish NOT to wear one in some climbing situations ;) This was my first multipitch trad climb. I'd like to do it again, but better to do some of the 14s I heard about there first I think.

@coralnerd , I hate the feel of wearing anything on my head including helmets. I understand it's foolish in some climbing situations, but my climbing parter brings this bike helmet on adventure climbs and want me to wear it.

@ArtyFart I was just kidding. A bike helmet is better than no helmet. I can't think of any climbing situation (except maybe in the gym) where wearing a helmet would be foolish. My helmet has saved my head from falling rocks, and I know of someone who took a bad lead fall, caught the rope with his foot, and smashed his head very badly against the rock. The only reason not to wear one is so you can look more beautiful in photos. . . Anyway, I can't get wait to get back to Mt Maroon.
