This comic/manga doesn't really fit in the canon story, but I still believe Qrow is actually Ruby’s father. What we _don’t_ know much about is Summer Rose. What we _do_ know is that Yang have more in common with Raven and Taiyang, from how she ’looks like her mother’ and ’fights like her father.’ Also, Taiyang said that Yang has her ”mother’s stubbornness”. (Vol. 4 Ch. 9) And Raven told Ruby that she ”sounds just like her mother.” (Vol. 5 Ch. 11) What we know for sure is that Ruby looks like her mother, but have absolutely nothing in common with Taiyang... until you compare her with Qrow, since they both use Scythe. Another random thing is that both weapon and semblance seems to run deep in the families. Qrow & Raven are siblings who uses heavy swords. Yang & Taiyang both use hand-to-hand combat, and Yang & Raven mostly uses pure strength in every fight. (Also told by Taiyang in Vol. 4 Ch. 9) (Which also might explains Yang’s Semblance as a Temper Tantrum) Even Weiss and Winter, who are siblings, have the same sembalences and similar weapon. Ruby, however, would've gotten her semblance from her mother, but wouldn't make sense if she got nothing from her ’father’ if it is Taiyang, and that she isn't blood related to Qrow either... Unless Qrow is the father... I know this might be TLRT, but this is just my idea about Qrow being the father. I just won't believe what Rooster Teeth say about Qrow not being the father, like how Bumblebee isn't supposed to be a thing before but now it is.

Only way to make this better is a follow up where she's in bird form yang finds here takes her to Raven she realizes it Ruby and trys to teach her how to fly early
You know I just realized something Ruby should exist if tie and summer never got together instead of qrow in summer so essentially she shouldn't exist at all and frankly she was born from Ty's side this must be a different girl benrubi in before you forbidden shipper start to say anything no I will never ship Ruby and yang because it's still wrong no matter if they're cousins in this version

@@novaruby3980 No real proof for that one. It would make sense, but you could justify ruby's fighting style and clothing choice just as well based on qrow being her mentor. I like the theory and it fits perfectly in canon, but there isn't anything that proves he really is her dad. And who tf is shipping ruby and yang, Echo?

Some people don't like the idea of Qrow being ruby's father, but let's face facts, he is. They have the same fighting style, she looks like a mix of Qrow and Summer roses looks, and if you deep down think about it, it would make sense that Qrow would not want to raise her. His semblance would have gotten her killed as a baby. After Summer died, he knew it would be Ruby who suffered next. So he dropped her off with Tia, who already had a daughter, to keep Ruby safe. I'm volume 4, Ruby is almost killed a few times in the fight with tiryan, because of qrows semblance. And it doesn't get better as the volumes went along. So it would make sense that he would of distanced himself from her as a baby, and let her think Tia was her dad.
I think it easily fits in with how Magic seems to operate in the series as a whole: Both Parents in some capacity need to be able to use Magic to some degree in order for their offspring to be able to possess it as well (as was shown with Ozma and Salems four Daughters being able to naturally use Magic). The only way that this could theoretically work would be if Summer Rose happened to be a Maiden in this continuity (which is not that far-fetch'd to begin with)
Magic from what we can tell is essentially a hereditary trait, but in what we have seen thus far can only be passed down to children of parents who BOTH can use Magic (as shown with how Ozma and Salem were able to have four daughters that can all use Magic), meanwhile Yang who has only one parent that can use Magic: cannot use Magic herself. It's just a working theory at this point, but the only way that I can see Ruby being able to have Magic like shown here in this comic would be if Summer Rose was actually one of the Four Maidens when Qrow knocked her up with Ruby.
I ship Summer and Qrow because of the sheer insanity and dorkiness that could ensue if it was true and this just made that urge stronger. Yes I know Tai is Ruby's canon biological father, I just don't care because Qrow is more fun 😂😂😂
WAIT THE NEXT volume seven maybe they did Made ruby able to turn to a bird!!! but she doesn't know!! I hope she does. that means she ask Uncle Crow why does she have the same thing as he does I hope it's in the next film I hope wait will be seven or eight of the volume I don't know huh?
