At long last, another installment of Ruby! We let the camera run for 30 minutes, tried to eliminate as much repetition as possible, and this is what we came up with. Hope you all enjoy it.
If I didn't already have the pleasure of the company of a grey I'd definitely want it after having listened to Ruby. What a delight of a bird friend you have here.
I'm so amazed at this beautiful parrot AND her owner(s).Put together an intelligent bird and very patient and loving 'parents'...mix well and you have "The Ruby". You are so blessed to have her as well as she is blessed to have you.
absolutely amazing astounding hillarios!! ROTFLMAO!! What the world needs now is not love sweet love.. the world needs more talking parrots!!! ROTFFLMAO!!
I have several African Greys that I "watch"on RU-vid and Metasite. While Ruby might not display as many " tricks" as the others (not saying that she doesn't know just as many; I don't know, and I know her owners have said that she is camera shy), she is easily my favorite because she has the cutest personality. She has a great ear for vocal inflections Her "voice" is not as mechanical as other parrots I have heard, and she speaks quite clearly. Love Ruby!
Every time I watch a talking parrot, i feel it feeds on nostalgia and memories. This especially so. He remembers the good times with dad and keeps his mind in that state by reliving the song of it. Bird's love of song + favorite memories = parrot's song :D
i love how she scolds herself. "don't you bite me" and "RUBY!!" haha, i love this parrot. she puts me in a good mood whenever i watch her. i say some of the things she says too. haha i love her
u can tell shes hurd all that before..she does it so well. i love how they pick up on sounds, and noises and words. and then say them like a person. its so real. ive been in petstores before thinkin a person was talkin to me..turn around and it was a bird..havin a convo with its self. lol
oh wow ruby is the best speaker ever! im relly relly glad to see inside her cage she's got toys. thank you for showing us your lovly parrot, i would like to see more soon thanks alot :)
Brilliant Ruby, it makes me feel amazed and also sad in a way. I think how incredible is the detail of what they remember, and what if the owner never comes home one day and the rest of the family have to keep hearing his words and his way of speaking. I mean the fact that they can repeat things with such detail is awesome, but for me the issue is that they mostly don't have any awareness of the meaning of what they say.. It just feels like dealing with a mentally ill person in the family. Sorry for my dark perception of this.
Have a female eclectus called Rubi and she's so lovable! She doesn't say as many words yet but she's not even two yet so hopefully someday she will! I love your video and every parrot called Rubi especially my own! And want to thank to my boyfriend for making me love birdies as now I'm crazy in love with them! All the best for your Ruby!!!
eclectus are beautiful and loving birds for sure but they have mood swings esp. if there are other birds in the house. they are known to be very territorial, and don't tolerate anyone invading their personal space, which seems all the cages in the house lol. our eclectus, rosie, never allows anyone on her cage at least. she's not too quick so she can't hurt anyone which is a good thing. lol.
That parrot is just awesome, you can understand everything she says... Takes it long to "train" a parrot like this? She imitated the sound of those machines, the telephone & the microwave... perfectly... amazing. :D
Wow! That was great!! Ruby is sooooooooooo smart! A parrot just found us, while outside, tried to find his home but no one responded to ads. He loves listening to your bird, he gets so excited!
You better believe it - she lives to eat! She also asks for ice cream, corn, potato, crackers, grapes, banana..you'd think we never feed her..but, as you can see, she's pretty hefty (mommy gives in to her a lot).
Ruby is absolutely beautiful! Congrats on all the hard work you've done with her. My 5 month old is starting to make sounds of "Whatcha doing". I hope he can talk as well as Ruby does.
OM i love your bird! Its so smart xD and cute i eespecially love her mimicking the telephone noises and saying hello, so sweet! Daddy's gonan cook, i cant get enough of this bird and the way she it says apple and her kisses
You have a very special bird! I hope he lives a long time because he is obviously a very important part of your family! I loved these videos! Thank you!
Congrats you have taught him well. He talks absolutely beautifully. He must be one of the best talking African Grey's I have ever heard on youtube. Wish he could meet my African Grey Mishka..... they would have so much to say to each other LoL
haha parrots are awesome. my cousin has an african grey i didn't know about since i hadn't seen him in a few years. so i went to stay at his house and he went to work and the bird just started talking while i was home alone. scared the bejesus out of me hahaha, i had never heard a parrot speak as well as these do.
I'm trying to teach my girlfriend's grey to say 'Who the maaaan? I'M the man!' Sadly he's having none of it. He does whistle the theme from The Addams Family, though, with fart noises in place of clicking fingers :)
