The point of these interviews is to somewhat make fun of the subject. It's not surprising that a lot of people she interviewed felt uncomfortable. Who wants to give a comedian ammunition to be ridiculed?
Not so much of as with the subject usually and she really pokes the most fun at herself. Most people knew this and were prepared for it. She was very famous at this point so it is surprising that he invites her onto his plane and then gets annoyed when Ruby Wax behaves exactly as expected.
Comedy is a gift. If you can make someone smile, chuckle, giggle burst out laughing maybe piss their pants that’s a gift. Why? because you shifted their mood, you reminded them to see the funny side of life or engage in some sarcasim just lighten up. Ruby is funny she pushes boundaries she was daring tried to draw people out of their ego/facade. If some of the guests would just roll with it the interview would have taken off.
This was recorded years ago & he mentioned running for President even then...& gee didn’t it happen & u know I bet he will get another term...crazy world

Only reason I'm watching this is because it was in a Dutch newspaper today how "evil Donald Trump had his plane land to kick poor old Ruby Wax off it after she laughed in his face about him wanting to become President", with the rest of the piece implying Trump only ran because he's angry and hateful and to shut people up who said he couldn't.

That was her entire schtick. I really enjoyed Ruby's show when it was on, but Trump (whatever you think his faults might be) is decent at reading people. He knew she was setting him up to be mocked and he doesn't like duplicitousness. He reacted the same way with Sacha Baron Cohen.

I’m sorry but I don’t think Ruby can interview. She’s got issues and I hated watching her on tv. I’m sure she’s lovely but she comes across nervous and unstable. I don’t want to watch that. She’s also trying to bring people down. I would refuse an interview with her. She comes across not genuine or honest. Sorry Ruby stay out of the limelight and find another route to happiness.
