Lovely video, rudd are fabulous fish, I have 14 (9 golden, 5 silver) in my pond, which are the fry from my original five rudd that died in the "Beast from the East" in 2018. They're really interesting, especially when feeding on bloodworm or garden worms, or sneaking the carp's sinking pellets. Thanks for the video, great stuff 👌👍
Beautiful fish. I have three in a 90 litre tank in my living room. I've found that goldfish are greedy and will eat anything you throw in but rudd prefer the elodea densa and will strip the leaves from the stem. For this reason I prefer them as aquarium fish as they're clean and low maintenance. I use exclusively rain water and there's a length of terracotta pipe for them to hide because they appreciate some privacy from the glare of the fluorescent light. My cats love watching them too. I'm surprised they haven't caught in the commercial pet trade. Thanks for making this vid.
