Aw nice! I wish I could had someone to share all these inside jokes with! Besides my best mate, everyone I've shown this movie has shown no interest in it. Unbelievable, I know! I find myself randomly quoting this movie all the time hahah
Two years ago I had to watch 9 minutes then watch another 9 minutes and so on and so on... not it's in one video??? I saw this 20 something years ago. Couldn't believe it's not popular!!
I'm getting a lot of "I don't care about the Earth vibes". Thanking for making this movie available! I remember watching this movie with my dad when I was real small. Thank you so much. "Be Good".
Dig! This is how I felt when I first watched it. I often return to it as it's such a feelgood, wholesome movie yet still has those important messages and morals which make you want to do more and make the world a better place for all ❤
SAME, I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS MOVIE FOR YEARS, AND WHEN YOU TYPE IN CHEECH AND CHONG MOVIES THIS ONE HARDLY EVER SHOWS UP. THE ONLY WAY I FOUND IT WAS ADDING ERIC ROBERTS IN THE SEARCH BECAUSE HE'S ONE OF MY FAVORITE ACTORS AS WELL. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS DUDE, I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW EXCITED I AM RIGHT NOW WATCHING THIS. I LOVE UP IN SMOKE BUT THIS MOVIE HAPPENS TO BE MY FAVORITE, SO THANKS SO MUCH. 🤘😎🚬
I used to have it on VHS back in the day LOL in the 90s when I was in high school. I wish I could find it but I saved this to my favorites playlist, if that's okay?
Glad you could watch it again man! I am very fond of this movie. It has a lot of soul-feeding for me. I always feel so content with life after watching it :) Greetings from Australia!
@@ttacking_you Hey again. I found a decent copy of the movie and just uploaded it only to have it blocked immediately. If you want to see a good copy of it yourself, search in google "far out man 1990 tubivt" and it should be the first link that appears. Thanks for your support.
I've seen alot of cheech and chong movies and cheech movies by himself but never heard about this movie until today fixing to check it out thanks for the upload
I'd only ever seen from the campus speech to the end until now, but I would have sworn this movie was about a couple of hippies who were in a coma or suspended animation for 20 years. Maybe the trailers just said they were gone for 20 years and didn't say why they were gone. They just went and lived in the woods? Anyway, I'm glad I got to see the rest of it. I'd been looking for it for a while.
Oh my goodness, through this movie I found 1 (of many) recipes for World Peace: more humans being genuine And singing more, like birds, who are the best!!! 1💜!
Thanks so much for posting! I have a copy on vhs, but no player. Been waiting forever for a release on dvd or blu ray, but it's not to be. You made my day. Can't wait to watch it again! Everyone in it is excellent, especially Buck Henry and Louise Lasser. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssss
Yo Chris, perhaps a VCR is to be found at a Goodwill or some thrift store. Everyday they get new stuff (but old) so maybe u can find one that way. Cheers!
This has to be one of my favorite movies of all time since I was a kid. What do you think I am an hallucination...smoked fish ahahhh ahhhhhhhh. Classic 👌
Oh man, control and subsequent censorship is rife here in Australia, too. It's said that approx. 90% of our newspapers are owned by Murdoch, so it all follows his politics, and what he says goes. He helps to keep the ignorant loud, and the rest in the dark. This is one of the reasons I don't read newspapers or watch TV.
Lets do it people! We the 99% just want peace, prosperity, beauty, and respect. For our planet, for ourselves and for our children! We are the majority! We got the power! Lets not be complacent with the decadence and lack of morals. Lets do our part, and incite and help others to Rise up to theirs. Lets Make our lives wholesome, sacred and worthy! Stand up, get up, Rise up! Peace, Love and Unity of the people.
Unfortunately, I'm with the firm belief that "99%" is a far cry from reality. Then again, everyone's perspective of "world peace" is unique and varying in substance. Some people have the opinion of doing the utmost best for the world around them and others who are doing quite the opposite can be of the same opinion. As Argentina artist Charly García stated in one of his songs (translated to English for this context), "Everyone has a trip in their head; it's hard for us to come to an agreement"
@@Michael69 well...your comment surely prooves the concept. Altough in my opinion the things that bound us together are stronger than what might divide us. Like i Said, most just want to live our life in peace, prosperity and happiness. That might diverge, but in the end its pretty much the binding Knot. And thats why there is the various communities in out history...perhaps to accomodate divergence. Thats why One world government is such a bad thing. Divergence is not.
A rallying cry we heard in the 60s, the 80s, the 2000s and the 2020s, should have worked the first time, we're in the worst state since ww2 possibly worse because it will affect the whole world and kill more, just over a longer period of time and hard to blame anyone in particular
@@sun6moon9 peace is good, prosperity usually means money and that's bad, money is the driving force behind all problems and the accumulation of, happiness is good.
There was a resurgence of anti-war culture/environmental movement in movies from 1988 until 1992. (Born on the Fourth of July, 1969 movie, The Doors movie, Flashback, Rude Awakening, etc). This was probably because this was around time of the first Gulf War and people were getting tired of the excesses of the 80’s.
I wonder if Eric Roberts in PT Anderson's version of Inherent Vice is a call-back to this movie, where he plays the real estate developer with an alleged crisis of conscience and calls Joaquin Phoenix "little hippie"? Or maybe it's just that Eric Roberts has been in a lot of movies. He definitely feels like the most miscast person in this movie.
This was during the period in the 80s where Cheech and Chong had gone through a falling out over career directions. Cheech made several movies during this period and I think Chong made one or two also with his daughter. If you thought this was ok, you should check out 'Born in East L.A.' as it's probably the best solo Cheech movie imo.
Figures I didn't even know about this movie, I guess because it was Cheech only. Too bad, it's an amazing flick. It's depressing to think how we learned essentially nothing in 30 years, and now the chicken really are coming home to roost. Buh bye environment and buh bye America! You had your shot and you blew it! Probably better screen capture this one. Looks hyper exotic, unlikely to see it elsewhere. You will NEVER see this burned to any disc whatsoever. MAYBE someone will stream it on some network, but I doubt it.
Everything in this movie never panned out(aids, acid rain, hell they never even mention ozone anymore). It's proof that they've been talking the same baseless sh*t for decades and wow we're still here, Who'd uh thunk it. How do you fail to realize that?
Alot of protestings do start on a whim of a quim which does start riots/war/D.A.R.E. ;} to say gang recreational hunting if you will...Loss in $€ but people think you're rude, Meh'!
What a load of rubbish this film was! First and last time I'll ever watch it! I'm reading it was some of people's favourite films! Really? I was only 4 when it came out by the date on the title but there's probably a reason no one born in my time's heard of it before lol the Staghound in the paper articles declaring war was a British version with the markings on it!
