In this video I show how to hand sew the top and under collar and I also show the finished jacket. I visit another True Bespoke Tailor, Simon Skottowe, while on vacation in Budapest. www.rudolfpopradi.com
Rudolph, your hand-stitching is absolutely first-class. I'm envious of the training you had, plus the skills you developed. You were born to do this kind of work. I'm so happy to know there is a bespoke tailor with your skills in Canada. How refreshing. I also love the storefront of the bespoke tailoring shop in Budapest - a reflection of the classy stores that survive and thrive in Europe, while we don't have enough of these places in Canada and the USA.
Thank you G Man for your comments. So wonderful to see that my video's are being seen from all parts of Canada and further. You are my first comment from Saskatchewan. My next video will be about cutting and marking with an absolute amazing fabric. Quite excited since this suit will be mine. Even a tailor needs to look dashing. Thanks again and keep watching! Regards Rudolf
I love watching masters at work making wonderful quality items of their craft. I love sewing, but my skill is somewhere in the low moderate level. Beautiful work, amazing skill, and such a passion for quality. Thank you for sharing.
This is a piece of art and unfortunately a dying art! It takes about 80-100 hrs to make a fine Bespoke suit, yet people cry their hearts about paying $3,000 odd for a piece of art such as this (Minus the fabric, construction materials it works out to $15-20/hr which is really very reasonable). Rudolf, this is amazing! Thanks for sharing this with us.
Right on the mark. You won't get rich becoming a Tailor but the satisfaction that I receive from my clients when I make something beautiful makes me very happy. Nice to know that people understand how hard a tailor works and can also do the math.
I can't stress enough how helpful your video was. I ripped some machine stitches apart and redid them your way. The result is perfect, it was slow, but not difficult at all. Thank you, and I hope for more videos to come.
I'm really excited to see you mark and cut the base fabric! I'm interested in learning tailoring. I've been knitting for 20 years and there are limitations to knits.
Thank you for your videos Rudolf! Hope you will make another one in the future when you find the time 😊 Drawing the pattern and cutting the fabric sounds like an exiting topic for a video!
Mesmerizing work! Would you please share what type of thread/weight and size of needle you use? I’m studying your technique as you snap that thread thru so smoothly. Any advice would be appreciated as I am planning a special jacket project for myself this winter with a length of fine cashmere I bought in Scotland. Thank you.
Rudolf Popradi One thing I would be very interested in seeing is how you attach your sleeve head to the suit and how the shoulder padding is attached. I’ve seen how they do it in factory made suits but never by hand like true bespoke. I really enjoy seeing your handwork!
Hello, Rudolf! This video is amazing. How I wish that you could create more videos. Perhaps you could make a series of videos that shows the end to end process of making bespoke suits. I have been trying to look for those types of videos but I haven't found any.
I love hand sewing, and I love watching how your hands are handling the fabric as you sew. If only I could send a mechanical fly to your wall with a camera set to focus on needle movement.
👍Absolutely awesome. No video posted from you in a year. Please tell me you will continue posting videos. 🙏 I hope I can commission a bespoke women’s suit one day. 💞
Thank you for your comments. 80 hours of hard work goes into a True Bespoke suit and for that reason it last a long long time. Luckily I love what I do so it is a work of passion.
Just by watching your videos I was hooked on sewing, searching for materials to learn, read, watch..it's really a pleasure to watch such a craftsmanship in these days :) would like to learn it myself.. Do you like to do everything by hand or on what parts do you use the machine? Greeting from Slovenia ;) your welcome to visit next time when you're in Hungary :)
clothing fashions provide comfort in meetings. this gives us a mood to try. and don't forget to respect ourselves from the results that have been done. if I had this chance. for patience to produce a good suit without a machine.
Hoy 13 de septiembre del 2020 ..... Buenos días... Maestro .. Me llamo Fabricio ... Soy estudiante y quiero ser maestro como usted ... Quiero saber si usted me puede enseñar su arte ... Gracias .....
