Without question! I had the honor of learning directly under Min. Keith Pringle how to play the organ. So I’m a distant part of that Detroit sound. What an honor. I know Keith and Thomas were close friends. There is absolutely nobody with this sound today….except for those who are true fans or students of these masters. The musicians today should be taking notes. Thomas, Rudy, Charles Nicks, Earl …. Etc, They played from their spirits not their intellect. I never get tired of hearing that unique Detroit sound. What a blessing!!!!

People slept on this song back in the day. I 1st heard it when my college's gospel choir did it back in '95, and it blew my mind. Rudolph Stanfield (along with Thomas Whitfield) was ahead of his time.
I first heard this at Cathedral of Faith COGIC in Atlanta, GA at a 4 AM sunrise service. Angela Small leading and the Showers of Blessings Choir..some wonderful memories of observing the rising of Jesus Christ our Lord!!!
Please know that your dad is beloved by those with a sincere appreciation for excellence in Gospel music. I have been a fan for as long as I can remember..grateful for his gift! God bless :O)
He and The Maestro Thomas Whitfield were 2 of a few musical heroes of my youth!!! At about 3:51, Rudolph Stanfield goes off into the cosmos!!! Yeeeeeeeesh!!!
