Holding the ball with one hand is no gather. Once he holds the ball, it's not a gather step. A gather step happens when the ball is not completely in the attackers hands. This is not the case my friend

Announcers Ryan Ruocco and Richard Jefferson lost all street credibility when they "Kissed-Up" and covered for the Refs in one of the worse calls in NBA history. Allowing Rudy Gobert to take 4 steps before a lay-up is not traveling, in Gymnastics it's called performing a "Floor Exercise".
