A textbook example of the "Rufford Rattle", the death wheeze of an engine that knows it doesn't have long before it goes beyond to the great motorway in the sky.
@@IgorTravelsTheWorld yeah I know - but nonetheless think of you can afford a RR you can also afford driving it. The license plate looks expensive too.
4.50 new range rover discovery loses number plate, in a car (supposedly) built for these conditions !! was really built for au pairs to take the kids to school in central london....
Very nice that you showed the road up to the ford and all the warning signs. With all these warnings in place, I expect the insurance companies will reject the claims?
That's like saying because there's a warning sign for example a weak bridge then you can't claim if the bridge collapses 🤨 When you insure your car it doesn't exclude driving through flooded roads, nor will it tell you how much water will damage your engine, whether there's a warning sign or not it won't make a difference.... Your fault or not, you put a claim in your insurance premium is going up either way so the insurance company will always win
@@philipglancy8593 I think it's a very grey area. At least in my country (NL). The insurance policy doesn't exclude it, but there is a general paragraph about negligent or careless behaviour of the driver. If the driver does things from which he could reasonably have known or expect that damage will occur, then it's not covered. This would be a perfect example for an insurance company to use that paragraph: the driver was warned more than once. Don't know how this is in the UK though.
Rule No1. Never ever ever ever drive into a flood at speed. Slow and steady but you'll probably ruin your catalytic converter dumping it in cold water. The Rolls Royce driver knew exactly what to do.
Why would so many drivers heed the signs when they choose to ignore All the other road sign as they demonstrate their RIGHTS to drive just how they please.
A sign advising drivers to proceed slowly without creating a bow wave would be more sensible but ruining the spectacle for the screaming kids.......water, air intake = hydro locked engine. Entertaining but cant believe some folks stupidity.....
Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!!! (BABBVEN LAWS AND TEBBVEN ORDERS)!!!!!!!
People are idiots. Do Insurance companies refuse to pay for repairs on vehicles? or in the event car has blown engine due to connecting rod bent due to hydro locking refuse to pay out Insurance?
