@@Freimopp777 basically you guys are right but the Mokka/Encore/Trax platform is originally designed as a global platform and then adapted to the brands in the different markets. Neither came first (I used to be European product manager for Chevrolet Trax at GM)
Just shows you despite all the shit spoken by jealous losers from other countries. Landrover is a popular brand in The UK, (where we have proper mechanics who know how to maintain them)
Note how the drivers of the 4x4 vehicles took their time even though they could have gone flat out whereas the drivers of vehicles not suited to the conditions floored it!
Because normally people with 4X4 know that going fast is the worst thing to do, even if you have a Range Rover. The other don’t have any idea so they just think it’s going to be fine
Right? Anyone who knows anything about fording water off-road is to take it SLOWLY otherwise you risk flooding the intake. My Mercedes E class could ford this crossing if I took it slowly. It's not even above the mid-point on the wheels of these cars when they take it slowly.
This video has shown me that around 70% of people have no clue how to drive through water. If you go too fast you will fill the air intake with water🤦🏽♂️!
#slow & steady; flooding approx just half tyre @ max 1.5' height. #speedy & rushing; flooding went up onto bonet @ into front grill.. subsequently, water ingress/goes into air intake. ... hopefully this vid educates driver not go fast @ never went through flood if reaching front grill..to play safe, measure the flood b4 went through.
The van drivers deserve every bit of it. Just goes to show their low iq calculations and ignorant aggressive, dangerous driving consists even when faced with flooded roads.
@@Andryk_QV must be a merc, or an electric Renault, I had a look at them, if you want one you can actually carry stuff with ie. lwb hi roof and 1300kgs+ capacity, it's £76k!! 16hr charge time=90mile range 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@Hayden Wolf what year was the Range Rover you bought. I’m not saying what you bought wasn’t garbage. I’m just saying Land Rover isn’t and not all their vehicles are. Mine treats me quite nicely.
You can see the it's about technique. Just be used you have 4x4 doesn't mean the airbox won't get wet. Even small cars can get through if they create the correct bow wave
A lot comes down to intake location too, my vans is behind the headlight a good 4 feet off the deck, but my mondeo has the intake pipe down beside the left foglight maybe 10" off the floor. I wouldn't go through a mild puddle in that!
Yes indeed. I went through a flood the other day in my Audi A2. The intake is at the bottom just in front of the front drivers side wheel. Normally it’s shallow but this time it wasn’t. I wouldn’t have gone through if I knew it was that deep. It was at least 18”, maybe close to two feet. I got through fine whereas I drove past a broken down X5 on the way back!
Some of these cars have high clearance and if went slow it would’ve been real smooth, instead they just go full send and cause water into the air intake
Surprised they didn’t break down. Such shitty vehicles mine was always in the shop , same with my co workers. Within a week of buying it from dealership the motor went. Pieces of shit can’t even survive paved roads yet alone off-road
@@hayden8693 Have had a disco 2 for 2 years, 5,000 miles going on 94,000 no problem. It’s not the vehicle, you definitely just refused to properly maintain it and treated it like shit
@@connorkendrigan45 they are pieces of shit and if you knew anything about vehicles you would realize how much you got ripped off. Not your fault but companies should not be able to scam the public like they do. They use dodge parts and up sell them.
@@bonkeydollocks1879 Well, Velar (to veil or cover in Latin) was actually the codename given to the 40 Range Rover prototypes produced between 1967-1970, since Land Rover wished to hide the "Range Rover" name. Anyway, I'm surprised that you didn't understand the reference (or did you?) to JC
@@Frosty-cu8tr Revenge for financing a cheap BMW rather than buying an Audi, your mom likes Audi's, she said the back seat is comfy, know what I mean llooooollll
@@Syncrofan Landy owners have clay dolls of BMWs that they stick pins in. BMW finished Land Rover. Also friends of mine deal in second hand BMW spares , so I'm used toseeing them in bits :-)
@quattro blood I did have someone try to follow my kitted out Range Rover through our local ford at Eynsford once. In a brand new Vauxhall Sefira. I was genteman enough to stop and pull her out :-)
Doesn't matter what year it is....... But it's just so SOMETHING SATISFACTION about watching cars and trucks and SUVs n other vehicles going through the water 💦 splash! 😆😆
Number 1 rule is don't create a wave. I went though a flooded ford once in my old 96 Disco. Water over bonnet half way up the wind screen, she started to float, waited till she filled up with water, sank a bit and then we were fine. What a machine! You won't believe the expletives I got from the wife!
No Land Rovers were harmed in the making of the videos or compilation... but a horse may have got soggy hoofs and as of 2021 the BMW is still taxed and MOT'd till November... we will see then if it gets SORN in November :D
@@olibob295 must have been a project for someone as insurance company wouldn't have paid out anyway as he/she purposely drove into a flooded road, they never payout for that now.
Loads of Land Rovers, the local Land Rover club calling all their members come quick for the show! Poor BMW get damper when each goes through happily! 🤣
