Update- the new harness is shite! The webbing for the anchor is falling apart. To the point I now dare not use it. Will be in touch with Ruffwear to see if i can have a new one or refund. Its a definite manufacturing issue. ... Edit (further update) I sent email and pictures to Ruffwear. They are sending a replacement. Very happy with customer care. Thanks Ruffwear.
How has the replacement been Black N tan? Solid enough? I have quite a rough plapy / mental dog - Wondering if its solid enough for her. Thanks for review.
@@SkyeEyeSightings It's holding up ok... I was actually immediately worried... the edge of the webbing looked like it was just starting to fray (with no actual loose bits)... after a couple of walks. But it's go no worse, so isn't actually fraying.. just a bit of a wobbly edge. 🐕👍
Nice review as I'm looking at buying this today for my german shorthaired pointer but we will use front ring mainly as he's only 19 months and still pulls lol Have you tried the ruffwear lead as it has a different clip mechanism. Thanks
I have two American Bullies. Both 30kg and both pull (I have no problem with this as it makes them tired, tired dog = happy dog) Both in this harness for 3 years now with no issues
I get ya, and no it doesn't... I tried both ways. Apparently Ruffwear do their own lead (so therefore know its otherwise shite) ... That bungee has one of the pullback noggins missing so if I'm just using one, I use that one so there's nothing to catch. If I'm using both I clip them to a separate lead clip that I have taped, so not to open. .. I should just get a hamer and take of all the pull noggin things. 👍🐕
I'm curious do you think a different type of leash clip might work better with this harness d-ring vs the type you have? I'm thinking about purchasing this harness for hiking.
@@UK-Bluereally appreciate your review. My search continues. I need a first harness for my rescue (Greek shepherd) and I can’t take any risks with her getting loose. Going to have another look at the dog Copenhagen one I think.
@@ForeverInFaith Good morning... I now have Chocolate Max... Got him a Ruffwear Flagline full harness.... The bugger chewed through it so actually on my second one. Really like it, escape proof too. Check out my new videos to see him in the blue one.
@@UK-Blue thanks for your reply. That was the other one I was thinking about. Do you think having 3 straps would feel too much for the dog herself when she’s never worn a harness before? Or is it fairly non intrusive/comfortable (as far as you can tell) once it’s on? I’ll go and check that video out now. Thanks again
@@ForeverInFaith I reckon it would be fine. My old Bruce had never used a harness before and was fine. I don't know, but don't think Max had, and he was fine too. But remember... if your dog is a chewers at all, do not leave the harness on. Max even had a quick chew on his new one while out and about but thankfully the webbing wasn't touched.
JJ!!! Blummin eck. Just spotted this... inbox nightmares. It would be good if no lead was required. I should move to the middle of the Australian desert 🤣 Thank you sir.
I was going to do that, but the double, bungee lead extension thingy I use ,,,, one of the clips has a missing 'pull lug' or whatever it is called... so basically it doesn't / can't unclip itself. 👍
