Rug tufting onto a hessian backing and the problems I ran into

Hi, I'm glad you liked the video. I have bought backing cloth from both ebay and etsy but when I decided to get serious about rug making I found a company that sold it in very large runs of 4.2 meters x 10 meters. Thats a total of 42 sq meters. The outlay seems a lot but when you break it down, it works out to around £4.50 per meter which is really cheap and this stuff is of the highest quality. It is the machine. It is supposed to stop dead when you release the trigger but instead it runs on and rips the backing. For now, I can stretch my thumb over to keep part of the mechanism from spinning once Ive let go of the trigger. Its not ideal but it will do for now until the seller either replaces or repairs it for me.
