✨TUFT TIP ✨ sometimes you might not notice you missed a spot until you’re in the final stages of finishing your tufted piece. Here’s a simple way to fix those issues without compromising the final product.
All you need is
- yarn, the same color as the area with the missing spot. This is a great use for scraps!
- scissors
- hot glue
Loosely wrap yarn around your finger to create a little loop. You’re basically mimicking the same U shape tufted yarn makes. After you have enough yarn to fill the area put a little bit of hot glue onto the exposed backing fabric and then press the looped yarn into that spot.
Press firmly and then squeeze the surrounding yarn together around the spot until the hot glue is set. Work in small sections and do not overfill with hot glue.
Once the area is covered simply cut the longer pieces to match the length of the surrounding pile and it’s like it never happened!
Hope this helps 💕

I'd recommend a stronger and more permanent glue, but excellent job!

This would only be for a small patch, I wouldn’t recommend trying to do large spaces or a whole rug like this! Thanks for watching!
