Even bigger nightmare was his scrumaging against OX in the WC..

Imagine Genge played 8
@958matt
@958matt Год назад
He used to play 8 at school level rugby, where he got his knack for carrying. It's one of the reasons it took him a while to get his scrummaging to a good level

He's got power but at elite level so dose everyone else
@joeboonmusic4004
@joeboonmusic4004 Год назад
That fails to explain why he’s the most consistently high-carrying prop in the 6N.
@DM-rp9ik
@DM-rp9ik Год назад
@@joeboonmusic4004 But is he making any more meters off them then the other front rows it you average it out. Any player can choose to carry the ball as much as they want

There are very few players on this earth with “power” in the same ballpark as Genge. He’s an animal, and that isn’t up for debate.
@DM-rp9ik

@@samclegg6998 Of course compared to the average pro I'm saying at the top level they're all powerful like a few examples Porter Kitshoff Malherbe Sheehan Ox Marchand Antonio to name a few. Being powerful us just a base line at the top

@@samclegg6998 i believe it is big fella as has been clearly pointed out to you on a number occasion I might add , he is being called out because he is a very poor loose head prop and cannot do the basics required to be a international loose head prop , what does running with ball result in , how many tests have England won because the loose head prop was in the 1st reiver channel and not doing the donkey work , a concept the under 13 team I coach can grasp and however seems to be something you can not . however off to watch the master display of front row mastery in England vs France highlights

If he's English, he must be rubbish and hateable as the comments seem to suggest. Or maybe he's a competent scrummager and a great ball carrier in the loose playing as part of an England setup not at the top right now. Certainly carries more effectively than Kitshoff, Porter, Baille etc.
@penilizer5179
@penilizer5179 Год назад
Kitshoff can carry well mate, makes his life easier by dominating the scrums first. Genge should learn from him.

@jonathandavis8599
@jonathandavis8599 5 месяцев назад
He also does more pull-ups and plays better chess than Frans Malherbe and OX. The only thing SA props can do is scrum, they can't sidestep or take drop goals.
@jonathandavis8599
@jonathandavis8599 5 месяцев назад
@penilizer5179 you would imagine agter losing 2 WC because they can't scrum, that they would focus more on their scrumming abilities and less about their passing and sidestepping.
@pierreleroux181

Only in England that he will qualify as a monster - one of the reasons England underperforms - very average front row!
@jonnybaynham1689
@jonnybaynham1689 Год назад
Difference between scrummaging and ball in hand. Genge isn't as strong a scrummager as, say, Beast was, but competent enough. He is very effective in the loose however with his carries. He makes metres and beats defenders more than loosies like Woodcock, Baille, Kitshoff etc.
@joeboonmusic4004
@joeboonmusic4004 Год назад
Orrrr you’re just biased against England. If he was in any other team you’d agree that he’s probably the best carrying prop in world rugby right now.
@182Warren
@182Warren Год назад
Mate a ball carrying lose head prop , is that really what a loose prop job is carrying the ball ? What about the 5 -6 things that as an international player he is supposed to be that best at , defence , scrumming , pitching up in the loose , SET PIECES , so no very little biased behaviour at all , this chap would not walk into any southern hemisphere team at all , and no I don’t think he is the envy of any international forward pack at all , weak at the basics can’t defend , can’t scrum , nowhere in the loose , can’t pass and spends majority of the game standing in the first receiver spot , so tell me again how good he is again
@samclegg6998
@samclegg6998 Год назад
I had a conversation with a NZer in a pub two weeks ago and he still complained about England having a drop kicking focused game…. Which we haven’t really had since 2005. Anyway the moral of this story is that other countries have got such a brain dead, biased opinion of English rugby it’s not even worth talking to you.

@@182Warren I think he’d walk in to Australia’s pack as they’re shite!and perhaps AB’s.
