Yeah, I'm with you on this one. This was really dirty dangerous play. The second Irish player that came in and finished off the croc roll with some WWE wrestling move over the ruck should have been carded as well. Instead, they used him as a mitigation factor which is crazy that a teammate's foul play could be a mitigating factor for a red card. And then we see these accidental head clashes get red cards... it's messed up. There needs to be a clear delineation between a dangerous accidental play (which should be a yellow) and deliberate dangerous play (which should be a red).

i think the current back line is potent enough to play the style its just not being fostered. they probably need a different attack coach. maybe change the 10 to libokk with le roux at full back as 2nd play maker

Although I feel like that sort of switch up from a nienaber rush defence style to a more flair style will result in some inconsistent results for the boks initially. Don’t know what you mean about replays I saw several. The tackle was not high or illegal. Go and watch Nigel Owens for his take on the Doris and co incident though they were very very lucky. Besides this Ireland fully deserved that win and no one is disputing this fact they were the better team and the SA fans are giving full credit to the amazing performance from the Irish. Dangerous plays do need to be called out though which is what Wildkard has done here. Other players have had lengthy 6 week bans for much less than this

Wildcard could you please provide your source where it was confirmed that Marx's fracture was caused by the croc roll incident. As far as I can see no one in the Bok camp confirmed this and given Marx played the full match afterwards I suspect your video title is speculation rather than fact.
What really beats me about the incident with Malcolm Marx, is the fact that the more "rules" World Rugby makes to make the game "safe" the more inconsistent the on-field refereeing becomes. And don't even get me started on the useless TMO "system" .

Hi Wildkard. In the 90s and early 2000s South Africa was known for playing dirty rugby -which was true- and this was highlighted by Australian and English media and called it "Thugby"😂. They were right, we had played some awful rugby-biting ears, eye gouging etc.... We have cleaned up our act especially under Rassie. The Irish last Saturday deserved their victory, but just like the game at the World Cup -which was the best game of the tournament for me- the Irish did a lot of dirty off the ball stuff. Yes, Ox did something stupid too and RG immediately called him out for it during the game. But what Doris did was cynical and possibly career ending it is sad that he has not been cited for this. There has to be consequences, if a Bok did this he would also need to be cited. This needs to be stamped out of the game. Play hard and physical, but be honourable and fair.

There should have been a red card and a yellow card. there are 2 people here who should have gone for a walk. Nigel Owen confirms. I believe if you do an illegal move that injures someone, you should not be allowed to play till the injured player is able to play again. But this aside, Ref did what he thought was right at the time, he is human, and I felt he reffed the game fairly and that is all you can ask for. But this is something world rugby should be looking at after the game.
You are misquoting Owens, he said both "could" have been carded not should have been carded. Marx wasnt injured after the croc roll, he played the whole match afterwards.

Both players in that incident should have been carded. Dorris should have seen red. Ireland should have been down to 13 men for 10 min and 14 for a good part of the second half. This was not the first the croc roll though. The first was on Kwagga. Even the TMO said when reviewing the incident involving Marx, that it was the second incident. Find it funny that one team walks away with almost no injuries and the other has 2 bone breaks, multiple open head wounds and some other serious injuries. Im all for playing hard but what are the actual chances of this ? Especially when you consider that most of the early injuries involved players that would normally be replaced by the "bomb squad" later in the match. Call me a conspiracy theorist but that is a lot of coincidence

For me the big debate could be around intent versus outcome. While intent is difficult (almost impossible) to prove the outcome is indisputable. Personally, I find myself very disappointed with the direction players and coaches are going. Stick with me here… actions such as this force WR to slow the game down (I’m looking at you, JK). What I mean by this is that more time will be spent on reviews (to arrive at the right decision) and maybe even law changes (player safety etc). Which brings me to the discussion around red cards. Many of you (like JK) claim that red cards spoil the spectacle, I submit to you that the spectacle in Australia has already been ruined as MM won’t be considered for selection due to this devastating injury. That’s not good for the game! Eventually the public will vote with their feet. We’re already seeing it with dwindling numbers in NZ and Oz. IMHO the game will continue to diminish until something is done to combat this brutal “weapon”. Consider a loving mother sitting at home watching this, chances are her son may not be permitted to play out beautiful game. A dark moment for players and coaches alike.
