In his second season as starter, Hurts led his Eagles to the best record in the league and a Super Bowl appearance, while putting up individual stats that earned him the runner-up spot in MVP voting. As one of the top rushing QBs in the league, Hurts finished with 760 yards and 13 TDs, the latter fourth among all positions. His poise under pressure and mobility shot Hurts to the top of this year’s list.

one thing that's crucial to Jalen Hurts' story, he was the starting quarterback for Alabama and took them to a national championship game. In that game he was benched in the 3rd quarter for Tua Tagovailoa who was the backup at the time. The move worked and Alabama won but it was a pretty embarrassing moment for Hurts that he ended up handling perfectly, a testament to his character

Im a Eagles fan but when i saw Taylor not on the List all i thought was "he had to do something to pioss every other player in football off" because it makes no sense

@@Feed_The_Fink wym he had 861 rushing yard for only 4 touchdowns? He did worse that Ezekiel Elliott I’m cowboys fan but zeke sucked last year. Still at least he had the courtesy of dropping 12 tds to go with TPs 1007 yards.

@@user-sx2on5bh7b yeh i looked at his stats in 2022 and i thought he was injured for a long time but only missed 5 weeks and had only 4 TDs and 850 in 11games. I guess if your ranking year by year its right he is not on it. But those previous 2 years he was nice. That was a extreme drop off

Hurts was squatting 600 in college. He also had more rushing yards than half of the RB's in the league last year. It was wild.

He’s also a very smart player, his dad was his high school coach. He’s in the coaches meetings and going over the game plan with the offensive coordinator and head coach, his work ethic is unreal.

Chris Jones saying it was the best QB performance in the SB while his own QB played in that game tells you all you need to know lol he was near perfection outside of the fumble which unfortunately was the turning point of the game

The "no trade clause" means that a player has veto power over a trade, so if the eagles hypothetically wanted to trade him to Cleveland but hurts didn't want to go there, he could veto the trade. This puts all the power in the players hand which the NFL absolutely hates, but other sports have adopted this practice for years

I wanted Jalen to be on the Cowboys as their backup because his college game and leadership reminded me of Dak but he's surpassed him as a player and I'm glad he's a starter and not sitting on the bench behind Carson Wentz like he was drafted to do. The only time I don't want him to win is against the Cowboys. If you don't like him as a person or a player, you simply don't like people or football.

When Russell Wilson got sacked, none of his teammates helped him to his feet. When a player put a late hit on Jalen, Mailata grabbed that dude like a toddler and threw him! You'll notice a number of the players commenting are on teams where their quarterback isn't considered a leader. Leadership cannot be undersold here.

No trade clause actually means the opposite of what you think, it’s good for Hurts, it means the team can’t trade him unless he specifically waives his no trade clause. So he can only be traded if he chooses.

I’ve been a Hurts supporter since the first time I saw him play at Alabama. Great player who has faced doubt and criticism since he was drafted. The Eagles 🦅 will win the superbowl this Year and Jalen will be the mvp of the game. Interesting video thanks for your take.

A 'no-trade clause' prevents the team from trading the player unless the player waives said clause. They traded their previous young QB right after signing him to a massive extension, so it's no surprise that Hurts and his team wanted to get one in the deal.

A no trade clause means he can refuse to be traded. If there’s a trade he would have to approve it.

You got the definition of the no trade clause wrong. It doesn't mean Jalen Hurts can't request a trade. It means that the Eagles can't trade him without his permission. Hurts would have to waive his no trade clause in order for the team to trade him.

Jalen is one of the rare true dual threat QBs in NFL history. Usually "dual threat" is almost an insult bc running QBs stereotypically can't throw but Jalen can run and pass at such a high level
