I'm glad you like it so much! I bought the 10 mm on and the 45 frame from Ruger and I really like it it's built like a tank too! Ruger's been doing a really good job on these 45, and 10 mm, to the point where I don't see why you should buy anything but a Ruger in this series of pistols. Thank you!

It's a handsome pistol. Officers & CCO sized 1911s have always been the sweet spot for me for off duty/edc.

I've been asking local gun shops here in Idaho if they ever get these in and they are hard to find. I have the SR1911 5" and love it and has never had a FTF or any other problems and the first rounds I put through it were inexpensive aluminum case ammo. I would love to get one of these eventually.

Long time (10 years) fan of the Ruger SR1911, but it’s just a bit too big for me to conceal. This one’s a beauty, and just the right size. I think I’ve found a use for my upcoming stimulus check.

I have Sr-1911. Got it couple yrs ago, It’s also and officers size. Great gun. Mine is old school with bushing as John Browning intended. I hate guide rods. I prefer not having to have any extra stuff to take gun apart and put back together. Love the channel, keep em coming.

Bought me a full size Ruger 1911 a few weeks ago. After seeing this, now I’ll have to save up for a Ruger officer model. Gonna have to save up for a Galco shoulder holster like yours too, love it!

I have both govt and CMD original SR1911. IMO, the best sub-$1,500 1911 on the market. Smooth slide - smooth shooter.

My favorite hand gun in my collection. It’s a little big for carry but I love it.

I love shoulder and chest rigs. Bought a diamond d custom with my initials in it for a 6” 1911 cut for the rmr. I pack my trp and specialist both as an edc with 10rd 10mm cobra mags..and a Wilson 47nx in the mag pouch. Harvested 2 deer this yr with the Springfield thanks to that red dot. Way worth the coin in my opinion. Love you brother we’re both cut from the same cloth

About that extended safety, when I shoot left-handed the extended safety is easier to disengage with my left index finger. Working a smaller safety forces me to almost let go of the pistol.

That looks like a really nice gun. If i didn't already have something similar from sig, I'd be looking into this. I like that the frame is stainless, unlike my sig. The officer size is my favorite to carry and shoot. I also appreciate the mention of the galco shoulder system. I usually use a pancake but that looks cool.

Nice gun and as usual a great video about it. I wish Ruger would have put checkering on the front grip strap. In my opinion that is the only thing that this fine little officer sized 1911 is lacking. Checkering helps lock it into your hand to reduce that muzzle flip a little. Of course then the price would probably be a couple hundred bucks more but I think it would have been worth it. Love Ruger firearms and your videos. Thank you.

Firearm manufacturers better lean on ammo manufacturers or they won't be moving much soon. I would love buy more firearms but I can't even take out the ones I have over ammo availability/ price. I know I'm far from alone in this.

Thanks for the review. Nice pistol, but for that money I can almost get 2 Glocks with 3 mags. each and much lighter than the Ruger. For a carry piece I much prefer a heavier trigger 5 to 7 lbs. with no creep. Too light a trigger is just inviting problems. Take care and God bless.
