The reason why they don't Mount the scope solid on the rail is because of eye relief each person has a different length of pool thus change in the eye relief hopefully that helps some others understand
I had the same thing happen with mine pertaining to the scope loosening up after about 10-15 rounds. I thought how the hell can I be getting worse as time went by lol. Added me a little loctite and good to go.
I've never seen a factory "bore sighted" rifle actually be in any way sighted in. Usually they aren't even close to being level or tightened down. First thing I do is take all the scope and mounts off, clean and reinstall with medium thread lock. I also run a boresnake with some CLP down the bore and lightly wipe the bolt with clp. No break is required past that!! I love the Rugers! I have purchased several, about 50/50 have the zipper sounding bolt. Never had a feeding problem with any. The old rotary, the ar style, nor the newer stagger stack that has replaced the rotary magazines. EVERY single one has shot sub 1" at 100 yards. That's why I keep buying them. I have some "nicer" Winchester model 70, TC Ventures, etc.... My go to for the price has to be Ruger American, I won't even hardly touch my couple Savage Axis anymore, pitiful in comparison.
Yes. Its a factory option, and once I removed it and reinstalled the right way, it's been 100% solid. I'm very happy with it. But Ruger had just barely snugged it down.

I come from Poland and in Poland telescopes are very expensive compared to earnings, so I prefer to make sure before I spend money.
