@@scottmorgan1016 it's over $30 a box now so I don't shoot much. That eley tenex was $27 a box of 50. Nearly twice what the green tag cost. I can't afford to shoot that stuff!!!
My RPR Rimfire says not to use CCI Stinger ammo, or any other ammo with extra-long cases. The case necks can stick in the lead, crimping the bullet and generating pressure that can rupture the case or exceed the design limits of the chamber.
Thanks for watching and commenting Steve. I have seen many manufacturers that don't recommend the longer cased ammo. I personally have never had an issue with them being too long but I am picky about what guns I shoot them through. With a match chamber you could get into problems. So far I haven't seen any issues with the rpr. I have had a couple rifles rupture cases but both were due to the chambers being very worn, not too tight. I do make sure to wear safety glasses when shooting but especially shooting .22s because of this.
