Rugged Fall Side by Side Day Trip! | Nova Scotia

We spent a great fall day riding Side by Sides around the rugged, and beautiful province of Nova Scotia. We ride 80 km (50 miles) with a mix of woods trail and dirt roads where we came across downed trees, water holes, technical rocky terrain and pulled out the BBQ for lunch at a scenic mountain lookoff.

I carry a chain saw with me most of the time . My defender is a wide machine . Many times I have to re cut the downed tree to fit through . What beautiful scenery . Looking forward to the next video. 👍.

I can totally see why you'd need to recut some downed trees with that rig. I've had to do that with mine even and it's not quite as big as your machine. Thanks for watching!

Good video. I' originally from Cole Harbour, when it only had a two room school, which I attended. Seeing your vids brings back a ton of memories. I can't believe how many trees came down from that hurricane. Up here (the Yukon) we saw the damage on the news, mostly in and around Halifax.

The level of damage from the hurricane was surprising for us. There was lots of chainsaw work required to clear it up. There are still trees that need to be cleared in some places.

Iv been there here many times after the hurricane but I think the route I use is much better than the one you used

We were exploring a lot of trails we hadn't been on before. There is one trail I have up to the lookoff we ended up using and it's not bad at all. Thanks for watching.

Great video. I live in Fredericton and do most of my wheeling back of Boiestown, Doaktown area. I try to always bring a chain saw because a lot of places I go, one way in and out. If a tree goes down behind me and no saw, not good.

The funny thing about it is we all have chain saws and not one of us brought one. We usually know the trails we ride in advance and if they're clear or not. Next time I will take one for sure, just in case. Thanks for watching!

The trial you tried to take into Ski Wentworth is horrible on a good day. Rough ol trail tide. There is another way there though. When you're leaving Deer Rock, a few hundred yards out on that trail, there is a trail to the left. That takes you down a hill to an old log cabin. Behind that cabin is a trail that goes back uphill towards the ski hill to a lookoff called "high head". Pretty technical trail, but passable. Would make for a great video.
