This hits different rewatching the Rugrats on Hulu. Made me realize this was the anthem of growing up past childhood and never being able to go back. Makes me sad.
Yeah esp. at 0:24 which always gives me chills with the sustained "oohhh" voice. It's so final. Mark Mothersbaugh was and still is a musical genius for his work on this show. Go back and listen to some of the older compositions from those early episodes. There are no words for his creativity and unique inventiveness with the human voice and other misc. sounds he used in his work. His music is nothing like I've ever heard before.
I’m so saddened that they took the rest of the episodes off Hulu I guess not too long ago. I’m a grown man now and I found myself falling asleep on the couch watching Rugrats on Hulu, just like I used to nap at my house or my grandparents to this show in Nickelodeon in the background almost 3 decades ago. It’s bittersweet when I think of it that way 😢
Then I'd probably die of a hearing aid 💀 Now don't get me wrong, the end credits of one my favorite childhood shows in the world there was to watch sounds worldbuildingly nostalgic to its purest essence, but having to listen to one thing on repeat continuously will eventually want you to listen to something else. Probably the effection of earworm is all too suffering to be born with. Remember, kids, earworm will eventually lead you to dissolving headaches if you put a catchy song or tune on replay.
I come back here for the nostalgia. Can't get enough of my childhood honestly! I don't know what it is about this credits music but it makes me smile every time! :)
Strangely enough this is the only cartoon outro that actually terrified me. I think it may be the visual style with the static-like effect, dirty background and messy red text, but this made the music creepier too
This reminds me when I was 4 my mom used to call me a Rugrat then I asked her what it meant and she told me that it was a show on nickelodeon in the 90s that my older sister used to watch when she was little but later on in life she passed away so I never got to meet her, but my mom told me this was one of her favorite shows on nick that she used to watch all the time, so she had old Vhs tapes of the rugrats to put on, so I fell in love with this show But then I realized why my mom called me a rugrat bc I like to run around and think big at the time ig but now I’m 20 so when I hear this ending song brings back memories from that time and it shows how much my mom missed my older sister . I was born in 2007, so I only watched it the few times it aired on cable TV. This for some reason makes me anxious and unsafe, it feels like I listened to this like along time ago. I have no idea how I can describe this ._.
Its probably because of how desolate it feels! The music while cheery sounds empty, just like the look of it. Like everyone's gone and you forgot to leave too. I was born 10 years earlier, so this feels way more nostalgic to me. But growing up i also remember feeling anxious during this part and the silence after when i had to rewind thw vhs tapes!
I thought I was the first only one who found this outro kind of creepy. To the wall that looks like concrete to the red writing that kind of looks like blood. The music is ok, only a little creepy.

God by hearing this, the nostalgia has hit me so hard, it hurts!! Makes me want to cry and smile at the same time! 😊😖😁😢😄😭😀Reminder of such an awesome decade now sadly long gone. I would do anything to relive that time to watch Rugrats and many other Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network shows that aired at that time as a young kid! Where did the late 80s, 90s and early 2000s go???????
Am I the only one who found the concrete wall and red writing that looked like blood creepy. The music is nostalgic and creepy, and the logos at the end especially creeped me out. Especially the Nickelodeon logo with the fish just sitting there with the black background. (Side note: just imagine hearing the ending them in a dark empty mall or a black room, with a slight eco.)
I mean like the Spongebob outro it's completely normal to be creeped out by a cartoon's music or credits we all have little and big fears that we see as a child or any age.

I was born in 1992 and this was on television constantly up until the middle of the 2000's. This really had an impact on Nickelodeon and for my childhood back in its heyday.
I think Michael Bell enjoys having a conversation with himself at times. That’s what you’d probably notice when listening to Chaz/Chas and Drew talk to each other in this show and All Grown Up!
I can tell you my side of story between 1994 of September through may 1995 this makes me remember every time I watch the end credits of rugrats before Nick at nite starting I love Lucy before the rest that was my original timeline of the golden but made continue for the one is younger than me it ended for me by moving from detroit to Memphis my golden age years was between 1989 to 1995 I was 11 when it ended for me the next nickelodeon I used to call the Nick silver age 1995 through 1999 everyone can make up their own Era I already mentioned previous two the one I like to call Nick of the attitude 1999 - 2002 Nick bronze Age 2002 - 2006 Nick Platinum age 2006 - 2008 For example I also did it for the Simpsons
I remember another Rugrats ending song that was too strange for me in my childhood, it was like a jungle or tribal song with rhino sounds or strange moans hahaha, do you guys remember?
I love Rugrats That kind or cartoons you never forget. And this soundtrack always get in your mind. Now I can re watch all episodes again and I feel so happy x33
