Helpful info, the Load impedance is used to measure resistance, useful if like me you have a draw full of USB cables and want to check which cables are good/bad, as a cable showing high resistance is not good, plus also using the current (A) you can soon sort out your good cables and charges. Resistance basically shows the quality of the cable being used for charging, Higher the resistance the slower a device will charge, the lower it is the quicker it will charge. So a bad quality charge cable will have a higher resistance than a quality cable, such as a cable or charger not designed for the device being charged, that's essentially what it means.

i have a problem with my unit it automatically disconnects power at a certain time when i leave it, it says that the phone is full but it is not. how do i resolve it so there is continuous power and also disconnects when the device is truly full charged.

I have a question that might sound stupid but I don't know this stuff. I purchased this tester because I wanted to check a portable power bank capacity to know I'm not getting scammed. The primary value I was using was only the mAH capacity, everything else was inconsequential. HOWEVER, I thought I should learn how to use all of it. I've noticed that the voltage is a little over 5v and the amperage will always show anywhere from a little bit under to even half of what the device's rated input amperage is labeled. For example, my portable gaming device rated for 5v 1.2a, but as soon as I plug it in the tester it reads voltage 5.1 and amperage reads 0.9-0.8 amps for a couple of minutes and then drop to 0.6 amps and stay there. Likewise my tablet is rated for 5v 1.55a but when charging the tester shows 5.12v and 1.28a at first but gradually drop to 1.1a - 0.9a, regardless of output port. Is this normal?
