Outside the city walls of Mdina in Malta, archaeologists discovered the ruins of a Roman Villa. This home of a Roman aristocrat had incredible mosaic tile floors, and was once adorned with beautiful white marble statues, including the Roman Emperor Claudius.
The history of the house can be traced through centuries of repairs in the tile floors. What else lies beneath and is waiting to be discovered?
