For 6.3(e), it's important to notice Note 1 that states "Notwithstanding the previous, Referees must penalize any player of either team who deliberately shoots, bats, or throws the puck outside the playing surface, as per Rule 10.1 (ii) - Delay of Game" We must be aware of attacking players who intentionally try to get a whistle for a line change by pinning or dropping themselves on the puck, and not trying to get up to play it.
Just clarifying. 6.3 (e)(i) would not apply to an attacking player shooting the puck from behind the blue line right? I mean, that would be a great way to gain the offensive zone if your team has a great faceoff percentage.
@@ryanhughes3838 As long as they were inside the zone when the puck was shot. The rulebook isn't clear but we've reached out to Hockey Canada to get clarification.
Did you mean 6.3 (e) i. ? - If so, it is regards to non-offside plays. i. Any stoppage of play occurring in the end-zone as the result of the puck going out of play or being unplayable will result in the ensuing face-off taking place in that end-zone at the face-off spot nearest to where the puck was last legally played, regardless of whether the defending or attacking team causes the stoppage.
