Usually good idea to hide your pointer in the user configurations so the players cant see the Gamemaster setting up the invisible dragon in the corner of the room.
We really love this introduction to Pathfinder 2e! This is how we learned, and I am actually running it in person for a new group for the first time since I learned the rules. It's a really great, easy way to ease new players into the game! Good Job!

gonna run this and PF for the first time this saturday in person. I guess Im just going to see the whole map as the book suggests (also a first) ... either way I expect it to be a blast! I am guessing the first floor will be enough to prepare for for a single night.
Good luck! Yes the first floor should be enough for 1 night for sure. And it ends by saying the party should consider resting. So it's a good breaking off point. You also might not get to the end of the 1st floor and that's okay, too!
@@TheRulesLawyerRPG fantastic... so far im loving this! I absolutely love the coin puzzle and cant wait to throw down real coins for it. I hope that kind of thing is continued on in other adventures from paizo.
One thing I would say is with how you do your time. I know you said it’s been a while and I can’t really exactly. Most of these dungeons are not to scale and actually take a lot longer to move around.
Thank you for this. I'm about to run this as GM and it's my first time playing pathfinder. This is kinda the ultimate DM prep. What background music were you using?
hi, good job, i think you are a very wise patient and funny gm!!!! thanks to you i discover the existence of foundry vtt and compared to roll20, that i currently use, looks formidable! i only have a question... what about effects or spell that last for 1 minute? that correspond to 10 turns if im not wrong... do these effects auto vanish after ten turn of combact? or i have to track manually the turns passed from the moment the spell was casted?? thanks in advice!!
@@alessiogarofalo8138 no worries! When you post an ability to chat, in most cases there will be a "Effect: ..." macro in the text that you can drag on the affected character. Then the encounter tracker should take care of the rest. :)
2:51:32 I guess Sardonis is no Data... - Dada, look at this - Data! - What? - My name. It is pronounced Data. - Oh? - You called me Dada. - What's the difference? - One is my name. The other is not.
Hi Ronald, thank you for all your hard work. Your videos helped me a lot improve my GM'ing and usage of FoundryVTT. Just two quick questions regarding the modules you use: which Module do you use to mark a location with that rotating crosshair? It looks very useful. and I'm curious which module you use for players to e.g. "light their torch" => moving light effect centered at your Token.
A bit late for this, but a question. Going to run this myself for a party of 5, and was wondering if you adjusted encounter difficulty to account for the fifth?
Theres a pretty simple 'encounter calculator' you can look up. Just see what each encounter difficulty would be for a party of 4 and then increase the number of monsters or w/e for the exp level
Where is the rule "Flat-Footed only affects Flanking Attacks" in the CRB? My understanding is that Flat-Footed is a condition effecting an Individual NOT an affect applied to the Attackers of that Individual regardless of what causes said affect. 51:00 Begins attack where the Rat went from being Flat-Footed to NOT being Flat-Footed while being Flanked yet NOT by attacking character. Great video, yet after watching it again & again I noticed this. I am probably wrong, so need receipts to convince my players. (They easily accept I am wrong IF to their ADVANTAGE & this won't in the long run. )
Core Rulebook p.476 & p. 632 QUOTE CRB: Appendix - Glossary & Index When two creatures are on opposite sides of their enemy, the enemy is flanked, becoming flat-footed to those creatures. 476
Actually argued my players proposal for what became our House Rule. Any creature flat-footed due Flanking are flat-footed to any attacker as the enemy is too distracted defending against those Flanking. As we move to FoundryVTT, I need to recall this is a House Rule. Your video may have saved lost time debating this again. Thank you.
@@Kaizensan1775 Are you sticking with the house rule? I would suggest sticking to RAW unless there is a compelling reason not to. The kobolds and anyone with Sneak Attack gets a big boost this way.
Where does the critical failure say you fall prone? Certain monsters have critical failure abilities but I've gm'd this mod 3 times😱 and those rats don't.
Been a while since I posted this, but some skill actions, when you critically fail them, make you land prone. If this was Tumble Through then yeah I made a mistake (it just ends your movement)
LOL. What did you think? PF2 I'd say has a "learning curve," so things are slow at first and I have to spend time explaining to people who haven't read anything about the system. In actual play with people who have played a few sessions we all kinda just know these things intuitively.
@@TheRulesLawyerRPG we absolutely loved it! Got through all but the last room on the first floor in just over 3 hours. The economy of 3 is pretty darn fun!
Good job, but as always with online, talking over one another is really distracting and hard to listen past to learn sometimes. Still though, Thank you! 👍
