Though I like certain stories and scenes from the later seasons, I do wonder if it would've been better to end it all after Rumpelstiltskin killed Pan. Everything had come full closure by that point and grown as characters. The only thing that would've been better is if sticking the dagger through his own heart would've resulted in the Dark One's curse breaking and leaving only a human Rumpelstiltskin behind.
Ooooh, that's actually plausible. They definitely pulled the show out WAY too far. I stopped watching at end of season 6, it wrapped up nicely there. (A few plots in between I could have done without, lol)
@@CatGold5047 yeah I’m rewatching it rn I started yesterday and I’m on episode 19 lol it’s not bad but I will say season 6 is my fav then season 3 (I ship GoldenQueen so that’s prob why I loved season 6)
Next to Regina absolutely, though in the end they became heroes but that's what made their stories so engaging ❤ There's not many other villains on the show aside from maybe Pan that had as much impact as these two
@@xxncisaddictxx true, And I have songs of movie for regina and rumple for regina The Swan Princess 3: Bad Days Ahead A Troll in Central Park: The Queen of mean Descendants disney - song: If Only for rumple the swan princess 2 : You Gotta Love It
Might sound strange, but I think Rumple is a really good version of the Joker. Unpredictable yet he has a personal code (deals and favors), terrifying yet whimsical, and effortlessly funny
I do agree with you on that. Especially when you watch the full series and you know Gaston dies the second Belle cuts the rose stem. OUAT can be really dark when it wants to be.
Agree 100% and Robert Carlyle is a legend. Rumple has so many layers, Rumple, Mr Gold, Beast, villian, anti hero, hero. No one else could have played him.
My favorite scene is when he’s talking to his son after killing the maid for finding out about the knife: “We might need a new maid…” Bae:”SHE WAS MUTE!” “Well, mute people can still draw a picture 🤭🤷♀️🤪”
I hated Rumpel by the end of the show, but Robert Carlyle did an AMAZING job with this part and you can tell he had a blast playing the part. Kudos to him for doing such a great job.
And the rose he gives to Belle is actually her ex-fiancé's remains. That is just...so wrong on so many levels. I can see why she'd be pissed about it later in Season 5.
Rumple was the main reason i kept watching the show as long as i did. When Peter Pan arrived onto the scene. The show went downhill for me When the whole Emma Dark Swan thing came about. I dropped out.
At one point he was on the shortlist to play the eleventh doctor but he chose to do OUAT instead. Which is probably for the best because we wouldn't have got Rumple otherwise and Matt Smith is the perfect Eleven. Still I'd love to see Bobby play the doctor. 👍
I think it's because he uses the dark one dagger to kill pan. Also he stabs both of them together, that's why he pulls his father so close. If you stab the current dark one with the dagger they die.
They were both ridiculously powerful entities. I don't think it was stabbing Pan per se, I think it was Rumpelstiltskin sacrificing his life, and the dagger was simply the tool to do so. It's also why Pan didn't just off Rumplestiltskin when he was saying goodbye to his loved ones - Pan would have had to die to kill him, too.
