Run an engine off gasoline fumes (REAL)

This stuff is real!
I thought that it would not work but, I tried it and it worked for me for over 30 minutes before I decided to turn it off.
This is extremely efficient burning 95% off all the fuel given to it is used to run the engine, the other 5% goes out the exhaust. Unlike a traditional engine that only uses 5-10 % to run the engine, the rest goes straight out of the exhaust pipe. Making this system extremely fuel efficient.
Before I would run my lawnmower for 30 minutes and it would be at a half ( 1/2) a tank. Now after running for 30 minutes, the level of fuel has not moved. I could mow my lawn 10 times over before having to gas up again.
I got this design by carefully looking at this one: • gasoline and fumes the...
I thought that it would never work but it did!!!
Try this for yourself you will be just as surprised as I was.
This is how the system works: When you turn the engine over, it pulls in gasoline and air. ( In this setup I have blocked the gas line, and I have taken the air filter off.), The engine pulls air in through our 'Bubbler' gas tank. The air travels from outside through a tube that goes to the bottom of the tank, this creates bubbles in the tank and produces explosive gasoline fumes, those fumes and air mixture travel up another tube into the air intake of the engine, where it burns the gas and only leaves the air behind. When the engine is running it repeats the cycle over and over again. Giving you massive increases in fuel economy, and the cleanest burn possible. this can help us with our air pollution and other climate ventures.
My first design was the same gas tank but with 2 air intake hoses and one large hose for the air intake. That design proved to be too much air and not enough fumes. And it was put together with duct tape that leaked most of the fumes out.
This 2nd design is made with one larger air 'Bubbler' hose and a smaller fumes and air mixture hose. This proved to be better as there was more fumes and less air. Making it more potent for the engine to run. I sealed all of the connections with hot glue this time, to make it more air tight.
After this video was uploaded I went back outside and run the lawnmower for another 10 minutes when the air intake fell off because the hot glue that I attached it with did not stick to the oily surface. (also the air intake was getting hot making the glue melt a little bit. If you are going to do this for yourself do not waste your time with hot glue like I did. Go and do it properly with screws and bolts to hold things together. In the long run your system will last a whole lot longer.)
I will be uploading another video with my 3rd design that is going to have proper fittings and connections, that use nuts and bolts and other sealing compounds that are designed for air tight connections.

You should construct a small container and hook it up to the fuel line nipple where you hot glued it shut. You could just give it a couple pumps on a rubber bulb, which would squirt a little liquid fuel into the engine for easy start ups. Once it starts, you just turn a valve 90 degrees, shutting off any flow of liquid gas and it would remain running on the fumes. Just a thought. Thanks for the video and demonstration. That is really cool. God Bless bro.

Tom Ogle was shot. The Popular Mechanics magazine also had a chapter on him way back when. Many years after, I tried to duplicate his system with VW engine in a wheelbarrow. The jet holes in main VW carb were all sealed with plugs, or solder, except the accelerator pump diaphragm. I made a TEMPORARY ONLY carb, just for an initial test. The house used to have the cabinet looking old style house humidifier with rotating drum covered with large sponge dunking in the large water tank. When rotating out of the water, a fan blew air through the material and out through top vents into the room. I made a carb like that, and was similar to the one by Ogle. A hot air hair dryer blew air into porous material rotating in a small gasoline chamber. A CLEAR hose hooked to the top of VW carb, while a hand drill was used to rotate the engine crankshaft. Mechanical Pulses of the accelerator diaphragm allowed a small amount of gas into the engine for start. When running, the engine only uses vapors when vacuum pulled in the heated gas fumes. The carb was in 2 halves held by duct tape , so as it could pop apart easily, for some safety. I knew the conversion would work, but was actually amazed to see GRAY FUMES through the clear hose, pulled into the engine. A white tissue on the exhaust pipe was always clean. I had studied the 2-3 Patents by Charles Pogue of Canada. There are many gas fumes carburetor designs and Patents to read on same. In the olden days , such as the 150-200 miles per gallon carburetor, the formulation of gasoline was way different. A full conversion modern carb does not run on vapors with our gasoline. It's called light ends and heavy ends chemicals. The engine bogs down and quits when carb is all gummed up. The price of gasoline always goes up, or is rationed, such as in 1974. The engine manufacturers changed to fuel injection to keep people away from tinkering with old style carburetor. I gave up on that subject and now only interested in Hydrogen gas, and methods of improved efficiency of generation. I also showed a few people another conversion I did for a couple of weeks on a 1974 AMC Gremlin. It was called gas cap gas saver. The inventor had passed away, but the wife sent a folder of photocopies of his data. Purchased used gas cap from junkyard. I drilled a center hole to mount brass fittings on both sides. The finished unit was removed before going to gas station. There was a hose on inside that went down into gas tank. The outer cap had a one way spring valve to let in air by vacuum. The existing tubing underneath car ran to the charcoal canister and up to the engine. I mounted a brass adjustable on/off valve with CLEAR hose to intake manifold. The Carter carb had IDLE jet screwed in tight closed off. After engine start with the pressed diaphragm, the engine would only run on vapors from the tank. That was ok for a stationary engine, but not for the road. I showed that set up to several people as a lark, but after that no one was interested. You see, the air was pulled into tank hose by engine adjusted vacuum, and caused liquid fuel to bubble upwards with gas laden air above the liquid, which the fumes were pulled all the way forward to the car engine. Engine would shut right off when clear hose was hand pinched. I tried another hand made gas saver for single barrel Gremlin carb engine. It was called under carb flutter wheel. The shaft was in between thick carb gaskets. The 2 thin steel plates were brazed onto a brass tube on the rod. Sharp saw teeth edges at both ends were made . This would spin easily in your hand and when mounted on the engine, you could drive with better efficiency. I was driving all the way through town to driveway with no foot on the accelerator pedal. I would lower the driver's window and turn off engine. You could hear the spinner whining down its rpms. You see, there was a better mixing of the air and gasoline BEFORE entering the intake manifold. Americans don't believe anything unless you show them. I showed a few others how to make quarry fish come out of the water and take a worm out of your hand. Lay down on the dock wear polarized sunglasses, and hold out your hand to see rock bass, crappies, sun fish, etc. They show up and grab the worm, and dive back down. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

If done right, this setup negates the need for a carb, fuel pump, fuel filter, and air filter. The vacuum created by the engine trying to start draws air into the bottom of the fuel tank, creating bubbles that rise to the top. These bubbles create a fuel air mixture as they breach the surface which are then pulled into the engine. The air is filtered by the liquid fuel which only ever leaves the tank as fumes, leaving behind all sediment. The fuel doesn’t need to be filtered because the fuel that actually leaves the tank is in the form of a fume leaving all contaminants behind in the tank. The carburetor is replaced by a single valve that controls how much fresh air is sucked into the tank, a second valve is added between the intake manifold and the gas tank. This allows fresh air to be added to the fuel air mixture to control how rich/dry the fuel air mixture is. Lastly, a valve to control how much of the final mixture is allowed into the tank acts as a throttle.

You need to study up on jetting and why jets are different sizes. Running on fumes will be an extremely lean burn thus causing overheating and premature engine failure. Put the carb and the gas tank back on it before you throw a rod out the side of the block. You should first learn about propane conversion, that will help you along in your quest for a better tomorrow. Cool concept kid keep at it.

Great, you built a carburetor. Funny thing is, it already had one. The optimum fuel/air ratio is 14:1. Too lean or too rich and you've lost the objective of maximum power, vs fuel economy vs engine damage. Anyone can get an engine to idle on fumes, put it to work, That's what an engine was designed to do, work. Put it under a full load thru the carb then your contraption and do the same work and see what happens. I am betting either or both, your engine will do far less work with the same amount of fuel and probably mechanically fail trying to do it. Show us that, your convinced its better, prove it... that's what real science and results are all about.

Great job on the project and yes most of the energy that comes from our fuel is form the gas or fumes... the only problem you have with a set up like this is longevity in how a engine works.... first thing to note is today's gasoline we would run to the station to get has detergents and lubricants in it that help keep and engine running more efficient over a longer period of time instead of short term... believe it or not the fuel we use in lawn tractors and cars has a lubricant affect... (it is a petroleum base!) on valves and also is a cooling agent that is key to a air cooled engine like your Briggs engine. The very low viscosity does cause washout on cylinder wall oil... Which is why it is key to let a carburetor like setup warm up on low speeds to avoid rings from wearing on dry cylinder walls not so much on fuel injected vehicles tho some may digress this topic. The way fuel works together with all of its parts also helps to control carbon build up. When you dig into a engine you can look at all the places where you have carbon build up. It tends to be all over the place but one spot in particular is above the piston rings all the way around this is controlled by the liquid or gas in the engine that helps displace or position the carbon where it wont affect the piston rings path of travel or it keeps it at its uppermost spot. The other thing you have to factor in is BTU loss as some of the energy is lost compared to original form and their is no implementation to correctly control air to fuel ratio as a carburetor (not as precise as) and or injector would do. The hose halve works but your engine cannot be controlled to run as efficient as it once was because you cant regulate a close to stoichiometric ratio you need and may introduce knock and detonation which may eventually kill your engine in the time you run this setup. I am not here to criticize but just to inform and give my 2 cents. Thanks keep up the good work

to run at max efficiency you could run pure oxygen in the fumes tank, you would have to regulate the mixture but it could work, by volume, air contains 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, mixed with other gases, however you would need to measure the volume (part per million) in the tank before injecting pure oxygen and possibly blowing up the whole thing, nevertheless great video if you decide to test on a larger scale please get a tank thats more suitable for gasoline, plastic can get brittle over time, again great video,

S1R9A9M9 Relays then And Now Water in carb ran Briggs 18HP riding mower engine in 2008 I studied and designed a replacement for the "magic dual coil relays" that were obsolete electromechanical and not available to purchase. Nathren had 15 in a box surplus. The 4 technicians in Georgia had tried to make duplicates hand made relay that did not work. They said the original relays were worth their weight in Gold. Engines ran mostly smooth when EGR was applied same time. Years later the unmarked relays were found to be new/sealed latching type switching replacements for the 60cycles electrical pole boxes in Georgia for traffic signal lights. I made up 3 samples coils and used the average values for about 1.5Millihenry for each one of 2. The CARS engine conversions put both low volts + high volts through it to run spark plugs on 6-7 amps. Plugs needed to be zero ohms- Champion plugs come apart to remove resistor, so as like a racing plug. It has been written that there may be Radiant Energy provided by the relay that travels down to spark plugs. Their sample 2 relays were NOT made in vacuum chamber, like mine was! I used Carlon sealable box with seal , parts inside, screws epoxied to lid, and brass fittings, valve, and vacuum gauge, and hand tool vacuum pimp. You cannot epoxy insulated wire to hole in lid. The air still enters under the insulation. This vacuum technique keeps the energy from expanding outward and follows down the wire. ( Diode-spark gap, N + S magnets parallel to gap- PF capacitor parallel to gap, and following inductor coil ) China Ebay sells these 21gauge wire .8mm as 1.5Mh. Dayton brand also, from Parts Plus, is less money. The car conversions had 400W inverter for 110v AC to half wave pulsing DC, about 40vDC, while Briggs 18HP started on 12v battery , then battery removed, and engine ran on the under-flywheel alternator current 10 amps pulsing DC. The S1R9A9M9 triple coils assembly had several uses same time! I remade several S1R coils so as to get same magnetic field over plug wire using 6 amps worth , so as more turns wire applied instead of 10 amps. Nathren's Briggs original plug 4000 ohms was changed to 125 ohms. Therefore to get 10 amps flow, he needed over 1000 volts. (Ohms law formula) That's why the original coils had BARE 12# wire for the high V. There was leakage inductance that superimposed higher volts for the low volts side!. The input was about 18 amps that dropped down to 10 amps flow due to the ohms reactance impressed on the low volts side from the high volts side! The web site had article about what was called (The 60turns coil test) Amperage reduced on 12v side with wrappings over the high volts wire.! . Nathren neglected to say mower engine was self running! I hope these notes are interesting to you. All engines ran at about minus 34 degrees timing on water vapor pressure generated ,with also Hydrogen gas generated and fired , using common electrolysis at tiny electrodes plug gap in combustion chamber. This was their invention , but not made marketable due to the relays. He said about 1 horsepower lost for every 6. See S1R9A9M9 You tube videos!

Very well taken care of? And why does you hear the valves so much? When where the valve play adjusted the last time? Do you even have noticed that you have a much hotter running engine now? I do not think that this engine will run a lot of hours till it breaks... I would not do that to my engine.

Do you have any sort of backlash valve? If the engine were to backfire through the intake, it seems as thought there is a major fire risk.

One-Way Valve would solve that or at least take into considerations :D.

Seems to me that when you close the air valve that the engine vacuum should suck that thin plastic gas jug in as it stops running.

It handles just the same, tons of power but does run a bit hot, more cooling would really help it.

I'm not claiming to know how you built it or that you aren't taking proper safety measures. But as he didn't mention just how dangerous a device like this is I want to make sure that people who say they are using them know. This is a bomb waiting for a spark. It is a very bad idea to have a gas air mixture in a sealed container like this. There is nothing stopping a back fire from igniting all the gas in the bottle.

I have a penncraft 8 HP briggs engine that has been running since 1978. This little tractor is bullet proof with just standard maintenance. Would love to put this garden tractor against any new item sold these days. This was made to last not like the junk you buy today. This engine gasification unit looks real cool. The oil and gas companies would not like this as standard equipment. Would using a wick inside the gas tank to gasify the liquid make this work better ??? Reason I ask is when I used air to go through the liquid fuel the gasoline would turn whitish and stop working leaving fuel that did not want to burn. I will be working with my unit this coming month. Nice work fella too.

I know it's just a mower but you might try putting a air filter on it . and what about getting enough lube on the valve guides ? I'm going to do this on my bus the valves are a bit loose any way and going to pull the head off to rebuild I'll see if it is cracking the valves . gas explosions is hotter than liquid.

that's the hose that allows air in to the bottom of the container to agitate the gas to help produce fumes

Problem no 1. Backfire.... what law will allow a vehicle to have a fuel air mix b4 combustion chamber. Ever seen a carby backfire. Try that with a full air intake with a fuel vapour mix, a car accident ! And the gains are minimal at best. Harder to start, need to bubble up gasses into air intake. wasted mixed fuel every time u shut engine down, pollution controls 2 compensate that. Look into it more than does it work and if it it practical and or safe 4 daily drivers.

There is one who didn't understand the principle of fuel efficiency of an gasoline engine: Even if it runs on less fuel when you run it on just engine fumes, but a normal engine has an efficiency of around 30% - good ones, not the claimed 5-10%. And running it on gas fumes makes it just probably 100% more efficient, but that doesn't mean it has 100% efficiency... You're probably at around 45% right now, even if it isn't logic to me, because if you want to increase the efficiency of a internal combustion engine, you have to increase compression ratio, so that it can burn hotter, so that the temperature gradient between internal combustion and surrounding air is higher... Probably this is a way of leaning out an engine without it actuay blowing up, so it combusts hotter and therefore is more efficient, that would be one way to explain it, but there could also be other shenanigans going on... Definitely something I want to try out myself tho ;)
