Another of his free harmonica lessons, Luke "Playa T." Clebsch teaches how to play John Popper's intro solo in Blues Traveler's hit song "Run-Around," so that you can do your own Run Around Cover. And this time I'm actually in the correct position! 2nd position on a C harmonica, which turns out to be much easier than playing it 1st position on a G harp!! This is on of the best harmonica songs, imho!
Here are the harmonica tabs in C:
slide up to 8- 7+ 7- 7+ 7- 6- 6+ 6- 6- 7- 6- 6+ 5+ 4- 3- 2- 4+ 4-
5+ 6+ 6- 7- 7+7- 7+7- 8- 7- 6- 6+ 8+(grace note bend)
(7+ 6+ ghost notes) 8- 7+ 7- 8- 7+ 6- 7+ 7+ 7- 6- 6+ 5+
4- 4-(slight bend down) 3- 2- 4+ 3-
Sorry I got so flustered at the end. But I'm pretty sure I got the harmonica tabs right so follow the tabs!
And that's the intro riff of John Popper's harmonica solo on Run-Around by Blues Traveler. Hopefully that's helpful!
