This video was made to help you train a high-performance mindset to help you achieve your 2022 goals. The concepts in this video have made a huge difference for me as well as the athletes that I coach who have fully committed to them. Thanks to neuroplasticity anyone can develop a high-performance mindset with the right focus.

This was a great video! I was so relieved when you said our "Reasons" don't have to be deep. My reasons for tackling seemingly impossible (for a very average runner like me) goals is simply the sense of pride and accomplishment, and knowing I can look back later and know that I'd achieved huge things. Nothing spiritual, per se. I do need to start focusing more on how the other choices in my life make me feel. Being on autopilot is a sure way to limit change and improvement.

This was perfect timing. I just bought your updated BQ plan recently and made the goal to try and run under 2:50. I wrote the time and put it on my wall last night so I can see it each day. Thank you for all that you do!

So smart to do that! You could also try telling yourself "I am a sub 2:50 marathoner" doing your runs.

i appreciate the tips sandi, though only positive self talk is all i can do right now. i broke a toe a week and half ago, so i have few weeks to come back to running.

I like the idea of this mindset. I think sometimes we feel we should set goals similar to how others set their running goals, I don’t race and I really don’t feel it’s for me, so rather than set a goal of entering a race, I think I’ll set goals of planning some longer runs with my dog and we can build up our distance again to do our own Ultra where we can run together, (it doesn’t seem right to train with my dog and not run the main event with her) that way we can make the build up runs our focus and use a long run as a reward for all that hard work. We can also plan our own dog friendly Ultra keeping away from any road sections and add in some sections near a river or a loch for her to cool down and have fun. Thanks for this Sandi. Looking forward to following you when CCC comes round.

This was by far the best video you have ever done and perhaps one of the best videos out there for both running and life. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this. There are too many gems in this video to comment on but I absolutely love finding people who have a passion for life. It's getting harder and harder to find these days (which I cannot understand). Very well done and I hope you get into that race but if you don't.....it should get zero real-estate in your mind:) Life is for living. Keep up the great info!

I bought the "All in Marathon Plan" this year to help me become a better distance runner. But my main goal is to break under 20 minutes in the 5k (20:45 current PR). I do my hometown race every June and I would love to break it there.

Awesome video!!! Being ultra present in the moment really helps me too-being grateful that my body is able to do what it does sounds cheesy, but it works for me. The song “Whatever it takes” by Imagine Dragons gets me fired up for strength, cross training & harder runs if I’m struggling & not feeling it. If I’m out, “don’t stop me now” by Queen I find is great-I may not be “having such a good time, I’m having a ball”-but it does bring me back, & sometimes convinces me that I am in fact having a ball…if not, & I’m most definitely not having a ball, it more often than not induces some endorphin producing giggles at myself🤣

See you in Chamonix! I got in through the lottery on my third attempt. I noticed yesterday on the UTMB site that you are listed as a participant so it looks official to me. Sage is there for the UTMB as well. I'm going to take your advice on trying to live in the moment and enjoy the training process and other races before August. In my limited running experience, I found that I get a little depressed after a race that I've been really focused on. I think this is because I put so much emphasis on the event itself that when it's over, I feel a void. I guess the means its time to sign up for another one. Is this a common experience with runners you coach?
