Run Hard - 2011

This video doesn't show my movement Training, but runs executed specifically for filming them. During normal training I try to repeat runs for so long, that they become clean and smooth. With these we only did a handfull of takes per run, always starting with the first try. The reason for this video is one the one had to have a milestone for myself to look back too, but most of all to give something back to those who inspire me and the ones who told me that I inspire them. But since I don't like shooting videos during my training, I put little time and motivation in the making of this. We sacrificed two afternoons for the shootings and one evening to edit them. Some of the runs I already had in mind or done previously, some were invented at the spot.
Thanks to all who care!
Cheerio, Flo
Update: I'm based in Vienna, black screen at the end because I wanted the song (No Cars Go - Arcade Fire) to finish, shoot on a 5D Mark II on a U Flycam with a Canon 17 - 40 mm by stefan.sietzen@gmx.at
Thank you for all the words of appreciation!!

Man! This video is really beautiful (the music participates to this beauty, as well as your movements), one of the bests I've seen in a while in fact! You may know your movements are really well-executed and fluid, and powerful and whatever, but more than that the idea behind the video is really interesting I think. The fact of showing the runs withour working too much on them, it's an important tool of training I think, for everyone. I watched this video so many times now, and never got bored!

Definitely makes it look really easy (and boring from just a viewing perspective), but like most sports, something that would be much more fun to do than watch. In my current fitness state, no way I would be able to do some of that (like jumping from bench top to bench top). I'm sure games like Mirror's Edge have only increased interest in this. The name of this activity has always kind of turned me away. Maybe an acronym like GILFA (Ground Is Lava For Adults) or something like that...?

@TeamKeiroParkour cheers for the advice, are there any specific shoes from kalenji? ive been looking at them but im not sure which ones to get, and the feiyues are decent for parkour for percision jumps because of the grip and the lightness of them and since you can really feel everything underneath your feet :D but i do see your point and kalenji's would be best for me cheers, if any1 else has any advice for me i'd be happy to read it! tyvm, train safe!

@EAsuper123 Hey man you don't have to run as FAST as you can. Yes getting from point A to point B as fast as you CAN is important. But you are to do it safe and efficient, in a non reckless manner in order to achieve YOUR GOAL safely. You don't need to always have a destination, sometimes you just move. Even if you wind up back in the same place more than once, that's alright :) Because that is YOUR movement :) All in all this video is a PERFECT example of how parkour should be practiced :)

wooow excellent video gave me a lot of motivation to follow what I liked about the video that was super simple I mean that it did not turn deadly triple or something like super hard and I like that to if you can motivate many people to follow this discipline and we can all show and not that hard if we try :) Greetings from Chile

Great work on this one, showing great parkour and not just showing the same thing over and over again you see in so many videos where all you see is another back flip or front flip in different location. Fantastic long segments of quick and fluid parkour moves rather than 5 second shots, not over edited. This sets the bar for all future video. Flim makers, take note

hey ive been doing parkour for about 2months now and im still not sure on what type of parkour shoes, can any1 recommend me some shoes? i got the feiyue shoes atm but i find they wear out too quick how ever they are really good parkour shoes, can any1 recomend me other shoes? ty, train safe!

@EAsuper123 you're following the definition too much. by following it like the way you do youre not using pk/fr to its full potential. the names arent as important as the movements are and how you use them. i feel like the only way to judge a video likie this is technique, speed , and edit/camera work.

Thanks Flo. I enjoyed from the beginning till the end, and the song is great, too. I particularly loved the shocked neighbours' reactions and your giggling. If some runs were invented at the spot, that showed your real fluidity. Thumb up!

I've been watching parkour videos for long long time, and even if some of them were amazing, with crazy jumps and fantastic flow and so on, I can honestly affirm that none gave me the felling of FREE-RUNNING trough obstacles like yours did. You are the best inspiration for me, and definitly changed the way I looked at the training. I owe you so much. Hope to have the honour to give back a 1% of what you passed me. With respect, from China :)

I personally love David's videos, but they are full of cuts, mainly showing big jumps for the sake of it, as David himself said. This is a totally different kind of video in my opinion, focusing on the beauty of the passages connection instead of every single movements. And I like it a lot :D
