The void left by Nick Symmonds is now being filled

There is still a long way to go to fully fill the void it created. Good to see some of it coming back for sure.

That was a fun challenge! Don't know why I decided to run around the camera at the 100M mark - thinking I would have been closer to 31 seconds. Glad you stopped me on the trail!

The fact that this is a sprinting pace for the normal person and he did it for an entire marathon is truly insane

I know this may seem trivial to many, I just wanted to say thank you for changing the thumbnail. There’s been a new trend of people using bigger folks in thumbnails I think to try to be funny or so people can see if they fail (not 100% sure it just doesn’t feel great to see when we’re trying to build uplifting communities) but we don’t know peoples lives and everyone starts somewhere! So thank you for switching up the thumbnail and this was a great video with wonderful energy!

188cm, 94kg, 5-6 minutes/km. I have Nike Vomero 16. I’ve enjoyed them and have run 10km in 56 minutes. I want something a little faster. Something that will help me stay closer to 5 minutes per kilometer. What do you recommend? I'm considering the Saucony Endorphin Speed 4, maybe I should look at ASICS (the Superblast is expensive, so probably the Novablast). Maybe I should stick with Nike? I'm having a hard time deciding since even when I try them in a store, it's hard to tell how they'll feel while running.
@VictorSandstroem
@VictorSandstroem 26 дней назад
Novablast 4s has worked great for me as my daily trainer, I've also raced a few times in them after returning from an injury, and they are pretty decent for speed and cushioning. As long as you don't get a carbon plated shoe you should be all good! A carbon plated shoe could increase risk of injury especially since you're running at a slower pace than what they are designed for.
@salmp7
@salmp7 26 дней назад
@@VictorSandstroem thanks for you reply. So carbon plated shoes are only for races? No point of using them as daily trainers
@VictorSandstroem
@VictorSandstroem 26 дней назад
@@salmp7 yep, exactly
@salmp7
@salmp7 25 дней назад
@@VictorSandstroem Sorry, last question :) I noticed that the Saucony Endorphin Speed 4 is 'nylon plated - not carbon plated.' What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it's worth considering, or should I skip them? Is it a good balance between responsiveness and comfort? (as we said, I am looking for a daily runner shoe and not only for the race day).
@VictorSandstroem
@VictorSandstroem 25 дней назад
@@salmp7 if you feel good in the them it should be all good. Some running stores have a treadmill where you can try the shoes before buying them. You can also ask the employees in the store for other reccomendations
