I’m sorry but your commentary is too dang funny: “It’s falling apart right here, the windows won’t close, moisture is a huge problem, but I really ain’t got any complaints”. I was rolling!
I take great pride in my 4x8 (2018) Runaway XL Camper. 3 Windows one door. Stephen, the owner takes pride in his company and campers. 🇺🇸 Sold my Jayco flight and happy with my purchase. I hope you enjoy yours to. Best regards 👍 Southern California 8/20/19
Be sure to send it his way. Have very few complaints honestly. Just the caulk is going to come off and the moisture issue. Neither are terrible problems. Easy fixes. Thanks :)
Hey and thanks. Yep they're not bad at all. Be sure to check out the scamp trailers too. Both are cool but you get more amenities with the old scamps. A little more expensive though. :)
Condensation inside: All campers (and tents) need to be ventilated in cold weather. Breathing alone (but cooking, too) creates moisture. A small vent high and one low (across from each other) will do the trick.
Runaway no longer uses caulk on their builds. They are constantly improving their product and workmanship. It's my understanding that these rigs also come with a one year warranty. What other company does that?
My Subaru Outback can tow 2,700 pounds. This Rouser weights 1,250 pounds. After I put all my crap in it I'm at 1,700 pounds. I want to know if I can skip the air-conditioner? I go North in the summer and South in the winter, a fan and proper bedding keeps me fine. I don't need air.
You can try. Would likely need to fill in that gap unless it is customized though. I would say the AC is pretty light though. Not a big unit in the least.
The cargo trailer IS cheaper, usually under 2k-3K but my only car (budget car) has a towing capacity of only 1500lbs! The Rouser is ideal for weight alone; most recently the model was relisted for 2021 and it weighs 840lbs!!! This is ideal particularly in these incredibly tough economic times where jobs are disappearing like madness... Plus it's something you can stand up in and sleep in comfortably. It's a good investment to either save up for something big without rent or to just get by on very limited options in our country's possible dark age... O.O
Hello Quicker, I'm very very close to buying a Rouser for the simple fact of being able to stand up and getting dressed. It's only going to be my dog and I traveling. Why do you think the smaller rig would work? I would appreciate your answer. Thank you, Tom
If it is going to be just you and your dog, you shouldn't have any problem with it. The only downside is that you're going to be missing out on amenities. You won't have a shower or bathroom. You can always use a Campipotty though. The Rouser and other Runaways are very easy to set up. Just unhook and put the wheel on. Put down the jacks and you're good to go. Plus, they're cheap and lightweight. If you're not afraid of roughing it a bit, you'll love it.
Tom there's a company near Charlotte North Carolina that sells these and I think there's are 5 by 10 and there's are between $4500 and $5,100 and there's are five but 5 in if you need to contact them just contact me through RU-vid and I'll give you the contact information we build their trailer frames for them so just let me know
Indeed. Nothing to lie about. I enjoyed it while I had it. Took me all over the place. A tad bit overpriced considering the resale value but it wasn't an investment. It was for fun and adventure. :)
Sorry for the slow response. Getting back into this. If I remember correctly, it was around $7500. Would remember a scampi if you can find one since they have more amenities.
Sounds good. They do have smaller ones for cheaper. Check out their website. Not sure what you can get cheaper unless you guy a cargo trailer and deck it out yourself. Or, go used. Cheers :) Tent camping is just as fun BTW.
Like a fold out bed/mattress of sorts. Never heard of a Weeroll. Have been looking into the Scamp Trailers though. They look cool. Have no need to upgrade at this point. Working towards other investments.
@@NCuffs the one i ordered is 6 x 10 x 66 inches high ..1040 pounds ..easy to haul with my kia sorento 2012 paid a bit under $9000 but its all aluminium
@@linuxgoddess6753 well...the weerolls are lighter ,well depending on what you want ..we wanted the 6 x 10 x 66 inches and its only 1040 lbs ..and my towing limit on my vehicle is 1600 lbs ..how could i resist
It should be criminal to call this a camper. It’s a box with mats and an ac unit. Spend some time insulating and building a place to sleep. You could put rods to hold clothes and boxes for clothes and sleeping platforms. At least you are off the ground.
The advantage here is that currently it will only weight 840lbs (being fiberglass) without options! I only have a towing capacity of 1500lbs during hard economic times in my budget 80s toyota. Couldn't do this comfortably without a rouser. It has just enough room to be comfortably livable without all that crap you don't really need such as a sink/table, etc. Whatever you do need you can buy walmart cheap and stick inside pretty easily and get a really good temporary solution from having to liv inside your own car... :P
