Just subscribed. We picked ours up at the factory in July. We've added a few things to make it comfortable. The accessories are endless. Good luck with the Range Runner. I think you will really enjoy it.

@@GetOutBeHappy Sorry for the delay in replying. I’m quite pleased too. I was hoping for a little better mileage, but really can’t complain. We’ve had it garaged all winter. Have put down foam flooring and our bed. We got little cargo boxes for a trunk to store our clothes, a roof top tent, awning and awning room will be here this week.know we just need it to warm a little.

This is where its at! Easy on gas mileage, easy to tow and backup. Heavy rain storm, better then a tent anyday. Built in ac! Easy to get in the back country.

I went to the local Camping World the previous year and said I wouldn't go back, but the fact that they had it marked and priced as the Cool Camp and even with the additional fees that I despise, it was a deal I couldn't pass up.

You got a great deal! The racks put on by Range Runner is $450 alone. The front carrier is not cheap either!

Thank you for the information and yes, you are correct about the wishy-washiness of camping world. Do you have one question what is the dry weight of this camper? And what is its full weight capacity?
@GetOutBeHappy
@GetOutBeHappy Год назад
Hi Nathan, the dry weight is 765lb and I am not sure of the full weight capacity. I have not heard of anyone ever having an issue of overloading it, but as long as you just build it out with a bed and shelving I don't foresee any problems. You could reach out to Runaway Campers at www.runawaycampers.com. Depending on the weather, I am 2 to 6 weeks out from starting my build.

What is your tow vehicle? How does it tow? Curious if you notice condensation issues.
@GetOutBeHappy

We were using a 2010 Chrysler Town & County and are now using a 2012 Subaru Outback. Both vehicles have pulled the Rangerunner without issue. Concerning condensation issues, we haven't used it in the winter yet to experience condensation, but I can imagine there will be significant condensation without ventilation.

Please tell us what your mileage was before adding the camper. I'm thinking a mid-size SUV with a 3.8 L wasn't getting much over 20 mpg, if that. So that's around 5 mpg it's costing you to pull it? I think one might fashion some kind of front-and-rear fairing for highway travel that'd save you some fuel, and give you extra cargo room for miscellaneous items. Our geology club in college set up a barbecue grill and served burgers and brots all year long for the spring field trip fund, the day finals were over. Mid-May remains a prime time for touring, because all the kids are still in school. It's not too hot and it's not too cold, as long as you can handle the wet. I'm looking forward to re-visiting Bryce Canyon and a zillion other points of beauty or geological interest all over the West. That's why I'm getting a Venturist. 90% of the driving is highway, but that last 10% tends to be pretty rugged, especially if you're taking advantage of National Forest and BLM land, where you can camp just about anywhere, if you can handle camping off-grid, which I always thought was the point of camping. Most people go for the torsion axles, but I KNOW a lot of the best places from Arizona to the Canadian border, and it's that 10% that'll get you, every time, or keep you from going where you want to go, or just flat-out wear out your camper (or the stuff in your camper), if it doesn't have good suspension. I'm no purist or anything. Forest-Service, National-Park and State-Park campgrounds and KOA's are also good, and I really like Wilderness Gateway on U.S. 12 right on the boundary of massive wilderness areas, just west of the Continental Divide at Lolo Pass on the Montana Idaho border. Mecca for whitewater rafting and kayaking, hunting, and the nation's best native cutthroat trout fishery. I'm not as brave as I used to be, and I was never Brad Pitt in "A River Runs Through it," but the Lochsa's just over Lolo Pass from where that film was shot. You don't HAVE to have the off-road suspension, but there are a number of hidden spots you can dry camp, in the vicinity, right down on the water, but it's 4-wheel-drive in low gear, gingerly bouncing your way over rocks to get all the way in, and that's where I'll need the big tires, extra clearance and the suspension. It's not highly technical, but you don't want to drag your street trailer over it. Many of the coolest geology destinations that _I_ love in Nevada are at the end of many miles of indifferently-maintained dirt and gravel roads on BLM land. And the times I like to go are often before they've had a chance to fix all the damage from spring run-off.

Hi Harry, I normally get 24 on the interstate in normal winds so even with the high winds, I am down about 8 mpg. I am looking forward to getting my buildout complete and getting some real-world info.

wait , what's wrong with camping world. ? so many say the same but never recommend where to actually go for a better experience. I'm a first time buyer and seems like all dealers are the worst.
@GetOutBeHappy
@GetOutBeHappy Год назад
LOL, our experience wasn't bad, but as you know, we only bought a micro-camper. Maybe it is that they sell so many units across the U.S. that you have that much more of an opportunity to hear the complaints.
