The Rune Factory games take a great deal of inspiration from Harvest Moon as well as various action RPGs their contemporary. They have a great deal of charm, some weirdness, surrealism and fantasy. They have a ton of stuff to do, and you could find yourself playing far past the end of the story, exploring and collecting if you see fit.
