A recent update has changed the way you gain combat experience (for every 1000 damage you gain 50 combat XP) at normal non boss creatures. This has caused this guide to at least be partially out of date. It will still work and many monsters can still be good experience but the "best" methods may be slightly different now. Use this video as a guideline for ideas until an updated guide has been added.
Hi, do you know when the updated guide is expected, please? I'm just doing abby demons with a cannon and chinchompas, but I think that's not very efficient.
Horrible guide. "Just kill chickens to level xx" How about pointing out mobs that are weak to archery and give decent drops? This is one of the worse guides I have seen. You sound bored, awful format also.

I know you're getting tired of guides but can you do a player owned farms guide after the nerf coming soon I would really appreciate it thank you for all of your videos they really do make a difference for players who haven't maxed like me and many others

thanks for the guides Protoxx. if I may feedback, there many occasions you mention something important such as the monsters or equipment names and they're quite hard to hear/understand to new players like myself. this makes it difficult to wiki it and find out the necessary information to access them. may I suggest having text pop-ups as you speak about them please! that would be tremendous work but foolproof.
Here's what I been doing to get 1 million ranged xp per hour guaranteed: Waterfiends at the ancient caverns, using double ascension crossbows (mainhand + offhand) will kill each waterfiend in 2 or 3 seconds. I also use the Bunyip healing familiar together with the vampyrism aura which when both combined heal me so much that I don't have to eat anything for that hour. I use treasure hunter keys and spend all the prismatic stars for bonus ranged xp, this brings each waterfiend kill to about 2k xp each. Lastly I also use a scrimshaw of sacrifice which cost 1m and lasts an hour. When activated you get no drops from your kills beside charms (which i don't care for since I got 99 summoning already) but in turn once activated it increases your xp gain by 50% i believe for an hour. So bonus ranged xp paired with scrimshaw of sacrifice will give you around 2.7k xp every kill. I just did this for the last hour and easily got over a million xp bringing me to 96 range. This will make getting 99 ranged a walk in the park.

the abyss section saying its not profitable really changed with the tome sending ashes to the bank. just hit space with the loot menu open every few seconds for easy gp.
Hey!....like your vids.....can you please explain the new range skillcapes perk....The Ranged cape's perk increases the special effect chance of ranged ammunition by 20% of its current chance.Does this work with bakriminel bolts also? they have 5% chance to activate the ability...does this new skillcape perk really boost it 20% more?
I the superior spined gear is worth mentioning. It is tier 65 power armour and cost around 200k for the full set according to the wiki. However, last time I bought a Fremennik equipment patch it only cost like 16k, so you could probably realistically get the entire set for
just hit 60 range with 55 def.. being a member what should my setup be lookin like? haven't played pretty much since old school runescape wasn't called old school lol so a lot of new stuff to process.

I dont know where you are gwtting 400-600k xp/hr doing caps 1 hitting 475 in Legacy , im doing exactly and i have every boost possible; Raf, ava, torstols, im getting 362k xp/hr, any idea?
A full set of Armadyl Armor will run you around 30 mil now. Demon Slayer will now run 2 - 3 mil. Not including cape bow ring neck ammo. still a good guide. Range just got more expensive to run.
Baby blue dragons was an awesome recommendation. got some prayer up as well 7 levels to 35 and the bby dragons alone alone barely do damage. started there at 40 range taking a brake now at 45. maybe ill get my slayer (no idea how to start that) up and try your other method. gosh, leveling up takes so much time now when you get to 45 -60 range. and its only going to get worse..! Irecommend not a lot of food but some potions for prayer benefits, defense and or range potions. aggression potions had me catching too much damage and I used a lot of food at that point. collect and bury bones while your firing arrows if you need the Prayer XP. collecting may cost you a few seconds but each one is 1.5K (worth getting them now to bury rather than buy) burying while fighting cost you no time. *Drag the bones from inventory to the action bar to bury them, and spam it when inventory is full.* II
I went to get the level 50 armor set and couldn't buy the blue dragonhide boots even at 20k gp, so I decided to buy the mats, but didn't have 66 crafting to make them. I then went to world 1 and saw no one in Varrock, then I went to World 2 and still saw no one. Then I thought maybe they trade in a member area so I went to world 3 the free trade world and still saw no one in Varrock. That is when it hit me that the grand exchange is where everyone congregates now instead of inside Varrock itself. A nice gentleman made me the blue boots with my materials and I was going to trade them gold, but I thought it might be insulting to such a highly leveled player.

Elite Dungeon 3 is INSANE, I´ve got magic there to 99 stupidly fast and also good money and Dtokens as well. Im planing now reach 99 in rangin but i tried with armadyl gear and demon slayer crosbow and it is not efficient. When i get my anima core gear and the tier 90 crosbows i´ll try it with overloads. I think that will be enough starting in lvl 75 range.
Hate to say it, but ed3 trash run for range isn't good.. or something is off on mine. I used mech chimps, augmented off hand asc Xbox, corruption shot, ricochet, bombardment, cinderbanes, blood amulet of fury and SS. Still couldn't heal enough.. the scuttlers do so much damage. I just want 120hp using range.. I'm at 117hp.. but range isn't making sense in ed3.
