Yo, a short popped up with this series and it sounds dope. Can’t wait to binge it. Also thanks for properly flipping your playlist so the first episode is at the front
In some sense, "unguided" is one of the hardest iron man ideas I've heard to date, lol. I do not envy you doing Song of the Elves. Subscribed man, good luck out there.
Runescape is the type of game where you can have woox or settled making a video about beating the inferno while not getting hit while using only the training bow while only using your pinky finger And then you have videos like this. I fucking love this game and its players
hiya! J1mmy gave you a shout out in his recent by release vid and i'm glad he did! ive been looking for something to watch and this seems just my style thanks so much for your work :)
Found this series from a short you made. The fact that playing a pixelated fantasy game without external guides or third party plugins is so foreign, that it warrants a youtube series is hillarious... but I'm all for it. I can't remember the last time I did a single quest without a guide, so it will be funny to see how you get past the more moderate difficulty quests, let alone bosses with advanced mechanics.
You should also checkout Valiance Streaming. He is a somewhat older man who came across runescape in his later life and has been going through the game's quests pretty much blind. He does get a little help from his community now and then, but he does not use the wiki.
You do figure out why the penguins are in the sheep pen, in a much later quest. It's one of my favorite ones, hopefully you uncover there dastardly plans
its always great to see the game being played as intended, the way we all experienced it 15+ years ago. the age of information took away some of the charm in difficult things in games
The game was never designed to be done solo. Ever wonder why you need ridiculous smithing and mining levels for rune gear? It was because they intended an mmorpg environment would rely on other players skills and knowledge to also help you with other skills and quests. An unguided mmo is an oxymoron.
Such a great idea for a series. I've been saying for ages that OSRS's official client needs to add in more to help guide the player, similar to what Runelite's been doing. Things like loot tables, enemy weakness/strengths/stats lookups/inspect, food hp recovery stats on hover, gear stats on hover with + and - comparison stats to what you're wearing, etc. I feel like none of this would take away from the game, while helping people play without having to always use the wiki.
It's bizarre that this isn't more popular. The concept is really fun and the pacing, humour and editing quality is pretty good. Hoping the algorithm picks up on you
This is how I've been playing on my gim. I'm a big fan of figuring out myself and I love reading into the lore. It will be infuriating at times and you can be stuck on quests for days on end and be so tempted to look shit up. Enjoy the ride bro.
I just wanted to say that I really appreciate you leaving the game noises and music on. That is such a unique touch these days and is a perfect compliment to a slower-paced, nostalgic playthrough where you have to just figure it out like we all did when we were young. You've got a great voice too. This all adds up to one of the best sounding OSRS videos I've ever watched
Im 23 and have played runescape since 2009, and i watch a bunch of osrs youtubers. This is easily the most unique and fun ideas ive seen. Good luck man, i hope this series and channel goes far.
Just got this recommended to me this morning on my endless search for new content and I couldn't be more excited. Cant wait the day you learn about why the penguins are in the sheep pen!
Sounds super dope, just started my first character in nearly 20 years and I cannot fathom how long it would have taken me to get to where I am now without any help. God bless, keep pushing brother!
I thought about a series like this driving home tonight as I'm in a similar boat as you when it comes to experience with the game so I looked it up to see if it had been done before. Looks like you beat me by a year but I'm glad to live vicariously through your journey. Subbed and looking forward to seeing how you tackle this game's challenges!
Found you by a random comment on Settled video. The idea is amazing and I will now watch you every time I do my quests with quest helper to reach my goal of Quest Cape! Stay warm and happy, time to binge
Damn man, stumbled across this series over a year ago when you barely had subscribers. Was excited with the premise, binged the first few episodes, then didn't keep up. Now, I wondered if this series still existed, and after searching for it I can see you're on episode 52! Can't wait to dive back in, great job!
Randomly caught the short, haven't watched one played RuneScape in a few years. I'm here for this though lol this might sound strange but the clicking and game music is something so nostalgic it hurts.
I tuned in around Episode 5, never went back to watch the originals. Funny to see these seemingly harmless video turn into one of my favorite series ever :D
This is gonna be my new background noise series, haha. Very good content! Well made, fun concept, interesting commentary! Its fun seeing someone who *isn't* an expert do a challenge for once
i also found this through shorts and i just gotta say, i love the vibes, your voice is so chill and im loving this series :--) keep up the good work! :3
It’s always nostalgic seeing or playing a new account. Never again will we get that feeling again, but thank you for your true old school account my friend ♥️
Found you through another RS youtuber, noleather. He mentioned the concept for the series and i thought it sounded great. Really excited to sit down and binge it this weekend. Thanks in advance.
Subbed a while ago and completely forgot about this series. Watched the new J1mmy video and you popped up. Restarting again at #1. Gonna be my go to background lore buzz while working.
I saw a short of yours and insta popped this series up. Hilarious idea. Good luck and i have at this moment 12 videos to look forward to. Im very happy to see that this video was released 2 months ago, which means you upload a lot! yeey
I love this idea for an account. Very novel and quite an interesting task! Got recommended a random episode and immediately went for the playlist to watch the whole thing, can't wait!
this looks like pain and suffering based on the fact that i forget shit while following guides nevermind just remembering things. glad i found this. good luck!
Found this series throug a comment from the videos from "Flip" who is (was?) doing the same but whit played runescape for the first time. Good too see another one makes this challenge, but this time whit some game knowlegde! And its good too sed that you are waaaaay more activ... Cant wait to see the full series in the next days/weeks! Good start, sounds great!
Hello sir, I enjoyed your unguided content a lot and finally found the time to start watching your video from first upload! It would be very interesting to watch your progress from day 1 and hopefully I can follow you through your unguided journey to the end.
Got a short of your struggle findig the bucket with unknown liquid and i immediately checked your channrl and will now watch the series! I didnt watch the entire short because i didnt want to spoil myself
Was this your first video, or just first unguided video. It’s way too good to be first yt vid ever. It was well paced and clear, I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes when you find some more bizarre quests.
I saw the unguided Monkey Madness popping up and it got me interested cause I am a lunatic who also doesn't use guides for quests (As much as possible). I have to say that this is actually a very good first video ever. I have tried watching some other content creators but they failed to capture my attention. But not you, sir! I'll be going down the line of unguided quests :P
What I just realized that’s cool about RS, is it’ll always be a game you could play alone. Even if the servers shut down, you could play an Ironman on some save, and have thousands of hours of something to work towards still.
Just found this series, love the idea! Im only playing mobile and have completed the questcape (before dt2) . Took me 3 years to get. But if you read the dialogues you’ll learn alot about the game 🤘🏼
After seeing you had 85 days played i worried that you might have a little too much knowledge to make this series work. All worries dissipated when you ran from milking the cow over to the chicken pen on the other side of the river then back to the flour mill 😂 no offence intended ofc. It gave me all the confidence that the series will deliver! Excited to properly dive into thus bro
being honest i've wanted to watch a series like this, and thanks to j1mmys last video he mentioned you a couple of times, now i think im stuck here to watch all of the videos! :)
someone might have mentioned this, but in runescape (now known as runescape classic 2001-2017, before runescape 2 in 2004) the wizards tower was warlocks tower
btw that "hi" at 0:03 was so fucking hilarious when i heard it the first time, I already find that guys "hi" really funny when i look at his guides cause its so overly positive its cheesy and i love it, and hearing it here with your calm asmr-type voice gave it a really nice contrast and also was really hilarious OMG. Maybe the unexpectedness had something to do with it too LMAO. Great series ♥
What a neat idea, good luck with the future quests! Although if I can make a suggestion, maybe put the episode number in the title, so it's easier to browse?
