Amazing runthrough! This is a lovely game that has almost been forgotten but im gonna have to bring it out again this summer! Truly a fantasy epic in a box!

This game was incredible and still is. It is a shame we don't see games this well designed these days. I'd love to see FF release a new edition with new factions.

Oh man.. that will be truly amazing. I think that today people just care mostly about miniatures and if they are pre-shaded or sundropped or not. And I agree- this game is super good

Thank you so much for doing this. I didn't watch it but I completely trust your teaching skills. I add the video to my RU-vid "How to Play" playist and someday I will learn it from you. I own both the base game and the expansion but I don't own any free time in my life currently to execute my desire to play this. Nevertheless, that's amazing. Thank you for the effort. P.S. Now when I think about it, I have the revised edition. I hope the rules will apply to it. I will cross that bridge when I'll get there.

I see your collection and you are a dudes on a map guy just like me. I have Cthulhu Wars, Runewars (1st and 2nd), Kemet, Cyclades, some solid variations of risk, Dark ages (both maps), Chaos in the Old World etc....you name it. After some deep thinking about it, this game may have to take the title (2nd ED) as my favourite in my collection.

at around 47:00 during your battle sample, I believe the Daqan knight was entitled to draw a tactics card after the rout due to his special ability. Looks like you may have forgot to.

Whoooaaa!!! That quite the collection and quite the statement!! How come 2nd edition and not the 1st one? I've never played the 2nd edition. And yes, you are absolutely right. I said the knight needs to take a card but never actually took it. Thank you!! ❤

@ezbgames I use the 1st edition map tiles because of the mountains but everything else 2nd including rules. Well, it's revised rules and usually it's for the better when publishers do that. I don't know ALL the differences between runewars 1st and 2nd, but for a quick example, what I will tell you is that on command cards 1, 2 and 3, movement includes heroes too, not just units. I believe there's a small difference in the set up and quite a bit more. Different, yet pretty subtle. There's no point going back to the 1st edition, if you have the 2nd.

I didn't play the revised edition, but my advice is ALWAYS wait with the expansion. If you don't feel you need it- fuck it! Don't buy it.. with its price you can buy another awesome big game so go for it 🤩
