Great. I’m particular about water filters. I wish more camelbak products came with one instead of just thermoses, but I do know how to take this to army chemicals and wood made “char” coal
Inspiring? Absolutely. I went from literally running zero miles per month last year to ~50/week, many of them on great trails. This summer, I saw so much more of Yosemite than I ever would have because I was confident in tackling distances I wouldn't have considered in the past. I'm getting better sleep, am now at a healthy BP and am, in general, healthier than I maybe have been in my entire life. I have to credit your Tor Des Geants video as a main factor in getting me out there and changing my trajectory.
This comment is so meaningful to me because watching Jeff’s videos has been an emotional booster to create and maintain healthy habits. Hope one day I will have the opportunity to visit Yosemite and get to know its amazing trails and mountains
That is wonderful to hear and more power to you. The self-powered adventure life is so fundamental to being a human IMHO and it's really special to hear of someone like yourself getting out and doing it! Cheers from Sydney - Dave
My two friends and I backpacked this route a few days ago, because we were very inspired by this video and it seemed like a great backcountry backpacking objective. We hiked 2.5 days, camping 2 nights (at Helm Creek and at Russet Lake). It was absolutely gorgeous and probably my favorite hike I've done in BC so far! Before the trip, from the video it looked like it was not too difficult, but luckily we got the challenge we were looking for. Carrying up our big backpacks with tents and all up that Whistler Mountain was no joke. When watching the video again after the hike, we felt so seen as Jeff and Audree seemed to be as tired as we were. We had the exact same reaction when we found the water source after the Whistler Mountain. Thank you so much for sharing this gorgeous route! It was an amazing adventure!
Gobsmackingly beautiful and inspiring in the extreme. At times I spontaneously reacted with laughter and tears of disbelief at the sheer beauty of your video. My wife and I and our 2 kids here in Sydney in lockdown have truly enjoyed this spectacle. Your GPX file is safely in my Garmin route list now (thank you) and one day we'd love to do this trail - probably over a couple of days. Having worked in Calgary for some years in the past, I have been lucky enough to enjoy your Canadian wilderness, especially around Banff, Peto Lake etc., and can't wait to share it with my famo. On Friday my 11yo and I will head out and do a half marathon run around some local trails. At age 4 Will became the youngest person (unofficially) to do the Tongariro Crossing trail in NZ. At age 2, our daughter (unofficially) became the youngest person to do the 14km City to Surf here in Sydney (100,000+ people do this every year). So our family has a bit of the crazy going on and we can't wait to bring it to you lovely Canadians (Aussies with an accent...). Cheers and thanks - Dave
@@JeffPelletier Us Aussies would love to have you here. Check out the Larapinta Trail - that is a true Central Australian experience. You name it, we've got it here - desert, rainforest, mountainous (though nothing like the Rockies in scale), alpine etc. Very different to Canada but wild, enormous and beautiful. You'll have to do it mate!
Definitely inspired and this brought back memories from the last year’s (and the final) WAM 100 km. Haven’t thought of connecting panorama to cheakamus so, thanks to you guys, I’ve now added this to my goals!
Jeff you have no idea how you help me , especially mentally, for my upcoming occ utmb race . Im a 51 yrs old ultra runner mom from Kuwait , a country that is too flat with not even a single hill in sight , temp is hot 53 c degrees in the summer , my longest mountain race was 100k. Im putting all my effort into my dream of finishing occ .. your videos are what keep me going on long runs on the treadmill and stairs . Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart all the way from Kuwait 💕💕💕
Continued lol You guys are propa inspiring Motivates me thanks Best wishes for you both 🎊 Love the music your legs are quick both of you lol Awesome Awesome surroundings 💞 That was far lol
I'm not sure how often people tell you Jeff, but you motivate myself and I'm sure a lot of others included. I got diagnosed with a GI disease last year called ulcerative colitis and it's pretty much derailed me from any exercise activity motivation for the past year. Luckily, I'm on some medication and starting to feel normal enough to try to pick up running again the past month or so and it feels amazing to be moving again. I've almost been binge watching your videos lately and I really appreciate your motivation through these videos as well as the dedication it takes from you amongst training/races to make these great documentaries of your journey. I'd honestly love to get involved with trail running races and do all of these incredible things you've done on your journey man. Eventually get my wife out there walking/jogging on trails too so we can create memories like you and your spouse are doing! You're going to have a hell of a story to tell when you're older brother. Keep making us proud and motivated, I look forward to binging more content of yours for sure!
I fast packed panorama ridge in 2017 and it was UNBELIEVABLE. Hiked it in 2019. That last long bit of woods back down feels like forever though. 😂 thanks for taking me back to the area. This route looks like a blast.
what a *beautiful* video! Thank you both for taking us on your journey. This was a stunning route with some serious climbs but you both made it look easy and so much fun. 😀
Gorgeous footage! I want to go on more hikes around BC I haven't taken advantage of it enough living in Vancouver its right in our backyard. You both have incredible stamina! Subbing 💜
Thank you for sharing these breathtaking views with us. I've been a marathon runner for 10 years so far and I'm looking to do my first ultra next year. Videos like this are super motivating.
Jeff You Produce World Class Videos. Like this one, and your Fast Packing around UTMB. Or Crewing and Pacing the Hardrock 100 !!! These Videos are definitely Awe Inspiring, and well worth watching every minute. !! I spend a whole summer in 2005 hiking all thru the Canadian Rockies. It was Magnificent !!! I admire your youthful speed, and excitement for pushing yourself, out of your Comfort Zone, In the Most Beautiful Places in the World. !!! Trail Running has got to be the Ultimate Lifestyle !!! I am envious that you have found a way to do what you Love, as well as making a Living Doing it. I did a lot of Adventurous things in my 20' and 30's. Now at 63, I am mostly Sedentary, having lost Mobility, because both lower legs have been amputated. Be Very Grateful for your Legs and Feet, that they are able to Carry you, as far, and as fast as you can go. Sadly, Badly, that is not me any more. Growing Old Sucks !! And watching these kinds of Videos, is nice as a Spectator, but not the Same, As having the Adrenalin Rush, of actually going outside, and climbing up mountains yourself. Enjoy all the Fun and Adventures, and keep posting more World Class Videos. !!!
Yes you do and I’ll be at HMDS Fuerte Ventura 2022 not easy but doable, more heart that strength but I’ll be there. As you just said get out of your comfort zone! Cheers from NYC 🗽
I'm a year late in watching this video, but I have to comment and say a huge Thank You for posting this! The beauty of the scenery is breathtaking. I've never seen lakes that color of blue before. This was a gorgeous film. Thank you so much for filming and sharing it with us!
Thanks for the video. For sure you are a great source of inspiration : not only by your videos but also by the fact that you are a good and humble runner. So thanks for all Jeff. And keep on
Hands down my favourite RU-vidr. Showcasing some of the most beautiful landscapes with absolutely beautiful filmmaking. You absolutely inspire me to explore more of my backyard! Don't ever stop making films!
Well done in Quebec, you two! You both finished well and Audrée just happened to WIN! Have a safe and easy trip back to BC. :) And thanks for this wonderful video!
Love your videos. I love being outdoors but sometimes the motivation just isn't there to get out the door and explore but I watch one of your videos and it always motivates me to get back out there. Thankyou for creating awesome content. Luv from Australia
Thank you Jeff for the great vidéos !!! The views and scenaries are amazing, well done! As amateur runner recovering from an injury, I do my hometrainer sessions on the bike looking at your videos which really help during the recovery ! I particularly enjoy discovering new spots in Canada (I am french and leave in sweden) and your very positive spirit while training or competing. Please continue your videos, Cordialement, Stéphane
Wow, simply wow! Jeff & Audree, I am so grateful to you both for sharing the adventures and your trail running journey. I started trail running this year, and have done a couple of races on Vancouver Island this past summer and this video (and a few other videos of yours) have absolutely convinced me to trail run for the rest of my life. I’ve been learning & training to keep going, and shall continue to do so. Have promised myself to qualify for the UTMB in the next few years. Thank you for inspiring so many of us ❤🙏
100% inspired Jeff. Beautiful film again. Images of the lakes were stunning. Love the insights of the work that you and Audrey put in to do this run. Your message about getting out of our comfort zones, getting out in nature with the people we love will resonate with many. I hope one day to trail in beautiful places such as the ones you cover in your films. Thank you for the time and effort in crafting these stories. They deliver much much more than inspiration. For me they bring, joy, hope and optimism!
Enjoy your videos, live in Puget sound area, like hiking along the I-90 corridor, many places to go. BC is so beautiful, perhaps I can make over the border sometime 🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️👍😊
Your videos are always inspiring, and this one is particularly so. 🌿😊💗 Keep up the great work and the enjoyment of the challenges! Much respect and love, from New Zealand 😊
Absolutely love your work Jeff - seriously the best running content on YT. I did this route as two separate runs over the last couple of weeks and now you have inspired me to have a go at the link up although I know that Khyber ascent is going to be an absolute killer - it was hard on fresh legs :)
That was truly inspiration for me personally. Not only this film, but almost all of your journeys. Thank you for that. Regards from Poland. We have lots of running festivals so visit us to run some Karkonosze trail or maybe Tatry.
Definitely inspiring to take running to the next level. Usually just been doing 3-5 mile runs but now I want to up the distance and explore more than my local area.
Did this video inspire me?! Are you kidding...? I was practically drooling over those insane views! Haha... What a beautiful place! In April of 2020, just out of the damn blue, I suddenly got plantar fasciitis and it's not been terrible at all, but I can't get rid of it no matter what I do. So, I have decided to run again. It doesn't make a difference if I do or not and I have been missing my long trail runs soooo much! I am currently at three 4-mile runs a week. So, still very much at the beginning. But I'll get back to my long distances and until I do, I just keep living vicariously through you! Thank you!!
Even before you mentioning it at the end I was thinking this video had a different feel of underlying discomfort and pain. You should show that side of it more I think. Part of the beauty
Your videos are definetly inspiring. Your runs look so easy but I know, that they are not. Please continue in producing this amazing videos in this wonderfull landscape (I'm from the south of Germany and it's not so nice here as in BC ;-) ). I do run 2 or 3 times a week but only short distances - basically for my mental health. And this is exactly what I need. If I need a litte push to continue - I'l watch your videos ... :-) Thank you so much.
Just found your video and channel, I love what you're sharing and doing with lots of motivation and inspiration. Althought, I'm just a fresh legs in hiking but your video give more courage and determination to keep the journey going. Thanks and be safe.
Awesome run and beautiful nature! All your videos are inspiring! Keep up the good work Jeff! You are very authentic! Already did three fastpacking trips this year inspiried by your videos.
The length and difficulty of this run is phenomenal to complete in a day with energy left at the end! Looks like an incredible area. I hope to be traveling up here soon, so this gave me a lot of inspiration.
Just got back from a 3 week hiking/running trip in Norway. As I was sitting in my car after the final trail and feeling like shit, the thought crossed my mind that I only want more of this. Your videos truly are inspiring Jeff as they bring me at ease after working hours throughout the year or simply now, as a source of hunger to start dreaming/planning for what's next. Thanks a lot for making these!!
Awesome video! You definitely inspired me to try trailrunning. I’ve always been a hiker, but never thought about I would be good enough to run trails. Last few months I have definitely pushed myself out of my comfort zone and have started running trails every week and it has been awesome🙂
Such a great video and so well put together! Loved it! Love this kind of content and really enjoy seeing all the details like what you eat. Very inspiring, thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for creating these videos! We're moving to BC later this year and we can't wait to get out and explore! 😊 Your vids definitely inspire us to push ourselves out of our comfort zones. Keep up the great work!
Jeff, what a super video, really enjoyed that and yes it was inspiring! Such a beautiful route too, one of those where you have to be careful not to trip over on the more technical sections when your eyes inevitably get distracted from the trail to the scenery!
Fantastic video of a spectacular route. You do such a great job of putting these videos together Jeff - running something like this is already challenging enough, and the fact that you can film it so well at the same time is truly inspiring. Keep 'em coming! (post-taper ;)
Crazy, I was just at Cheakamus Lake backpacking this weekend! I had some health issues over the past few years so I'm basically building my strength from scratch. Hoping soon that I'll be on the tops of the mountains you guys were on here! Maybe not trailrunning (I don't think it's for me haha) but definitely hiking/backpacking. Thanks for an awesome video-- I know the comment is a year late, but this is very inspiring.
Another great film Jeff. I’ve had some beautiful days up Garabaldi and this brought back all the memories. My only time up through the musical bumps was during WAM and it was a whiteout and raining, so it was cool to see all the views I didn’t see. Haha
Great video which was interrupted by the terrible Qatar air ads, 20 secs, which was saved by the promise of your lady’s fantastic pins afterwards. I hope you got paid well for this vid. Rock on.
The only thing more amazing than the views and distance you’ve travelled, is that you both look so fresh at the end of it. Well done! Great film and accomplishment.. now I’ll just get back to trying to look that fresh after a 16 miles and only several hundred meters of accent 😬 I have my first ever trail marathon in July, which goes up and down Snowden, Wales, in the last third. I can only cross my fingers the leg training will come through on the day.. wish I could get to some of the places in this video. 👍🏼
Jeff you post great content, well filmed and edited, certainly provides ample stoke fuel for myself! Also makes me want to make more trips to BC to explore some the beautiful terrain up and around Whistler! Keep it up!
‘Seek discomfort in beautiful places.’ Perfectly said Jeff :-) Wondering if you could do a bit of a tutorial on how you produce your animated map graphics using Google Earth? They look fantastic! I’ve previously used Relive but the lack of control over the animation was always a bugbear. Hoping to step up the production values ;-)
I’m not sure I could easily say why, but this is my favourite of your videos so far. I am not an ultra runner, but my wife and I do run a little and do a little trail running. I like the variety of your videos. It’s great to see the events you participate in. But it’s also great to see days like this one. To be honest, it was a revelation to hear that you had to work up to a day like this. That was reassuring to hear. I had foolishly thought that you are just super humans who do this kind of a run on a whim. So I think what I particularly like (in addition to the beautiful scenery) is hearing a little about the background to what running trails like this requires of you. Also, since I am primarily a mountain biker (based in Ireland) it was great to see a little of Whistler from a different perspective. I especially loved seeing you walking on the bike trails. If I could give a video two thumbs-up, this one would get it from me. Thanks.
Thanks John, I appreciate the feedback and the kind words! It's easy for us to begin to take for granted to a degree all of the training that goes into these kinds of runs and to not talk about it. Both my training and recovery is something that I plan to speak more about in my future videos.
Wow!! Good job!! Great video!Est ce que vous êtes originaire de Quebec?? I live in Quebec, it’s awesome that you are coming here for QMT. Bonne chance à vous 2 et bon voyage. Have fun 🙂
