Running bad on Sky Poker 

What else I've noticed, Sky draws you in with decent hands 3 of kind or a straight only for a flush to turn on the river.

Folks. SKY POKER...means SHITE POKER!

I have never been someone that claims a site is rigged, I thought anyone that said so was just a fish that didnt understand variance, however since playing at sky I am 100% certain it is. My winrate at pokerstars over half a million hands at the micro stakes is 12bb/100, when I first started at sky I was amazed at how fishy the site is and my winrate was easily twice that. But once I had reached a few thousand hands it started screwing me over again and again. Donks hitting their ridiculous backdoor flush draws and gutshot straight draws with an all in on the flop. Just constantly getting rivered with ridiculous hands. Have played at many poker sites and always win over a large hand sample, but despite sky having the largest number of fish I have ever seen my winrate has flatlined for a long time now. I cant believe a big name brand is getting away with this. My advice to anyone wanting to play there is go for it and enjoy your winrate for the first few thousand hands, once you see your hand getting beaten by ridiculous odds and your winrate decreases just withdraw from Sky and move on :)

Have you ever noticed that when your bankroll is really low - so low that your next game will probably take it to zero, you suddenly start getting the cards again. Not for long but enough to reassure you that you are passed your unlucky streak. Then it's gone and you have to deposit again............funny how that happens - or should I say did happen. I'm done with online poker.

I played long enough on Sky poker to get passed variance and 'bad luck'. I won a few tournaments and cashed often and my BR went up and down but gradually up. When I lost to bad beats I took it as part of the game and for a while I thought Sky was dealing an honest game. I consider myself a skillful player and know when I am likely behind or in front. If you get 50% of that part right you will be a winning player. The problem came when I had a big win on the horses. The money you win goes into your poker BR. From then on..playing exactly the same (or even tighter) I lost in every game to unbelievable bad beats. I even sat out of hands where I knew I was ahead and I would have won those hands. (you can be sure had I played them - different cards would have been dealt) But, if you pass on good hands you will be dealt better and better hole cards. Take for instance being dealt AA. My rule was to raise pre flop 4 or 5X the anti (not all in) This will clear out the chancers and you are more than likely left with players with smaller pairs or AK. Time and time again an A would show on the flop giving me a set and someone would be all in with their solitary Ace. You can't fold with this hand but then you watch as they get quads or straights but most times a flush with their 3H etc. My bank roll dwindled to zero. Not because I went card dead or through variance on the contrary, I was getting good cards and good hands..............but all beaten. Actually to be more accurate - it would look too dodgy if every hand was beaten. These unbelievable bad beats were always when your tournament life was at stake. I am like most here. I love poker but I am no longer an online mug. BTW I now play at a casino once a month (£10 buyin freeze outs) cash nearly every time.

People moaning about poker sites being rigged are usually just losing players. However, Skypoker is the exception. The site is a fucking joke. A straight, flush, full house wins every hand, even in heads up sometimes. Its incredible. The bigger the pot, the bigger the rake. Thats why they do it

I remember back in the day when Sky poker looked like this. Kinda liked those old style tables in a way.

I got out of SP a recently after suffering face slap after face slap that defy variance - perfect hand example - I raised with pocket Jacks UTG, two players came along the flop came 3 A J - I made the huge mistake of checking this hoping someone had caught an ace but both took the free card and it came a 4, sensing a SP set up I now bet big, one player folded the other shoved, I knew something was fishy but I had to call. What did he have? 2 8 off-suite when he shoved he had nothing, river came a 5 making him the wheel. Obvious bot / house player who could see your cards, and knew what was coming. Either that or a total idiot who thought putting his tourney life on a river 4 outer was a good bet. Thing about SP is its always tempting to invest some more of your B.roll after you've left it alone for a while, because you know it to be a Fishbowl you should be cleaning up, but of few of these runner runner suck outs soon make you remember why you deleted it.

I've had a similar experience I started off winning played abc poker won £177 pounds from £20 deposit in 3 months just playing 4nl to 10nl then I hit a brick wall of unlucky bad beats like a light switch being turned on went down to £145 then withdrew it all, put another £20 and had the most ridiculous bad run losing every shove even flop trips shove and Lose to the one card that gives them a straight. Over and over again, variance? Bullshit

@ruarihennessy1 I did initially start thinking that a few hands were played badly, but to be honest I had to laugh at just how bad some of these beats were. I felt better about my recent downswing, now I realise its 'variance' and it happens.

I agree with 'if you can't handle the beats don't play' but I most certainly didn't see any standard coin flips like you allude to in your post.

I never did think it was rigged until a few months ago. Hand after hand, river card always killed me. So i came off online poker. Went back onto Sky poker recently and it started all over again. Once I got put out and stayed on the table too watch the remaining hands, very predictable, I even started calling the river card. Im done with online..... Gutted to be honest, as I love playing!

All you need to do id watch the sky poker on tv where you see all the players cards, after a while you can pretty much guess the turn or river card when its heads up. Its so funny 2 watch , play in a live event and how many quad hands come up? might see one on the rare occasion, On sky poker they seem as common as flush draws ,

i lost twice in a row with AA on sky poker to KJ hits to pair and A3 of harts never belived what he hit .... iv seen 4 of kind like 12 times this week i had them twice and 3 times on the bord // sky need to fix its soft wear its fked. its gone haywire

The capped games are high variance, go figure

I wouldn't really call then suck outs or bad beats. Every hand he played except the pocket aces were drawing hands. It's hard for any pair to last until the river, especially against high suited connectors. You see pros going all in with AK all the time, but they are all pros and know each other's card ranges. Against random amateur players, they'll shove with pocket 2s, and then it's a flip.

The question you need to ask yourself is why the hell you're still playing 3 years later, It took me 2 weeks to realise it's the worse site out there!

I've had QQQQ come out 4 times in 30 hands before now. A flush coming out 4 times in 5 hands happens regularly. I thought I would deal myself 50 hands, face up, with real cards. Do you know how many times a flush was even possible if nobody folded? Twice in 50 hands. Completely rigged. My average finish position never changed in two years, from being a total novice, to now, but the bad beats get worse and worse the better you get.

AA in general will either win you a small pot or lose you a big one. How do you lose the nut flush? Full housed? That blows... but that's poker mang. I've had quad aces and lost to a royal recently to on full tilt, 50NL not a 3.50 SNG... first royal flush i've ever seen... never want to see one again.

I dunno whether it's rigged or no, but I do agree maybe some players are superusers type thing people such as; tommyd, offshoot maybe, as I've railed tommyd in mtt's such as the main bounty hunter at 8pm, n it's like he doesn't even need to make moves as it gets handed on a plate to him, such as raise on the btn with qj flop 8910 other guy has 67 suited, stuff like that never happens to me.

all poker sites are rigged, not just sky. i was the big stack in a tourney in party poker once and was hitting full houses like every third or fourth hand for about an hour. it was the craziest thing ive ever seen. totally impossible in real life. the odds of hitting a full house are so low, and to hit so many in such a small amount of time was just insane. even though i won that tourney, i cashed out after and never played there again. soooo dodgy. sky is just as bad. they are all the same

Actually the site I imagine are making money, I don't know how, and one other thing, if the computer isn't randomising the cards (the game is rigged) then isn't that illegal.... food for thought.

It is rigged and anyone who says it isn't is an employer or knows someone who works for sky poker. I had pocket q's last night flopped a q on the flop and I get runner runner flush to beat me.

I wouldn't call them dumb people... I have my doubts about online poker being truly fair, it's just too easy for them to rig a RNG. Develop more action/more rake = more profit every single hand, why wouldn't they c'mon? Anywho, I still play because I learned to fold when I'm beat, don't put too much money in the pot when someone is drawing and a call station. It hurts but its still profitable ...barely though

ya might b more hands but the beats happen as soon as you sit down and the guy was winning every hand because someone calls you they have to win bs wake up so many ways to tell you how its rigged if i did i would short circut myself

What does the site get out of fixing it ??? They make money from the rack not from you losing. It's just that u play much more hands than live so you are guna c more bad beats. It's just part of the game and as someone has said. Looks like this guy only has one move, all in. No wonder he sucks out alot.

just play live that way you dont get cheated,1 beat now and then not 10 a day like sky

Classic recording of why all poker software is bull***t. The software is designed to shaft everyone except 1 or 2 lucky seats where the player can win with any crappy hands.

This is a very weird specific stat but its extremely alarming. I have had 15 flips where ive been the AK vs the JJ exc and i have never ever won a flop in that way. NO joke 15 times its occured i have never hit my pair. Incredible... I literally expect im going to loose when i see im up against a flip

SkyPoker: if you are being dumped on then you stay away from pocket rockets because they are pair of the century over there, fold a few hundred hands and then go mental again as you get gifted. Stop going all in then you have a choice to fold , been playing on Sky 12 yrs so easy to make money it's ridiculous . Dodging the bad beats is the challenge for me reason I play on there.

I'm starting to think this site is bent, week after week I was getting beat on the river by the only card that could, so I took a cool off period, a week later, had pocket kings against pocket 9's the 9 turns over on the river.

Losing players claim skypoker is rigged... in the same way losing players claim stars is rigged, same as all other sites. In truth they are just bad or unlucky players.

it looks about right Ive played on sky poker for about 3 years and it godam sucks ,,,,, the few selected regular players that are 'in' seam to be able to play any two cards and win over and over complete Donk Play gets rewarded regularly what a fkn rip off that site is hope you learn from my bad luck,,,, lol @ luck,,,, lmfao

sky poker is rigged and i know exactly how and why pps always lose verses over cards fro one and second a most definite small stacks always lose as it especially if there is a late reg waiting to get on your table ive p,ayed over 1000 tournys and can say that they do this to move the tourny on and tommake sure the late reg can sit quick bet no one has ever had to wait long to be seated on skyjoker

You shouldn't go all in just because you have decent hole cards. Hole cards are only as good as the community cards. I have been on Sky poker for years and it's no way fixed.
