The death of a Dodge Challenger was ACTUALLY a body of a VJ 4 door sedan that quickly switches from the Challenger to a burning Valiant. When i was a little kid, i played all these car movies 1000 times on the VHS and i actually paused it and it clearly reveals the trick photography. Also, another trick in the movie, at the start with the drag race between the Monaro & the Dodge, the Monaro ramps over a VW Beetle and the bonnet is seen coming off, but when the car blows up, the bonnet is back on the car. Even the dummy xY Falcon that rolls under the semi trailer has no 9'' diff and 1 odd white wall tyre ????? The shit you find when you're a little inquisitive kid that was into cars from early as 2nd grade in school. Here i am 40 years later watching it on youtube!!! WTF!!!
Got my custom 1.18 Fox.1 Challenger signed by Terry Serio aka Mike/Pissoff/Polic & Paul Johnson aka Lecherous Garage Attendant at Weekend With Hooks Festival at Culgoa Vic. Bring on ROEF2022 at Cobar in September. Where is the final explosion ( of the Valiant) filmed at ? Bring on ROEF 2025.
Carmine Annunziat0 that challenger is in some lucky guys shed today in the same condition as it was in this movie. They blew a 4 door valiant up not the challenger
Anyone else noticed that this isn't a 57 chev but either a 55 or 56? It looks smaller than a 57 and doesn't have the tradional 57 belair side panels and big bumpers
The last few minutes of this were filmed near where I lived as a kid. Between botany cemetery and bunnerong power station and on prince of wales drive before they put speed humps every 50 meters
@@rhettcorbett3346 yes it sorta is . If you go on google maps and search Prince of Wales drive, at Port botany that is the part where the car blows up, military road is the downhill bend with the intersection that goes onto prince of Wales drive. It used to be just a long road that went out to the water but now they have reclaimed land on one side
@@rhettcorbett3346 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1r3zw-XiuXI.html This is another movie that was filmed in the area in the 80s. It's nowhere near as good as running on empty though
@@MrDemonchild71 Cool. Thnx. Gonna try & get there. What is nearest train station ? I'm sure they shot a scene from Midnite Spares at BP Refinery at Botany as well. Where they throw Thomas threw phone box.
@@rhettcorbett3346 you would probably need to get train to mascot station then walk down to botany road and catch the 309 to matraville. If you can get to the actual bus depot at port botany it’s only about a 5 minute walk further down that street. There were scenes filmed along there as well before the depot was built.
