Until you have truly executed a well run marathon, no amount of watching videos or verbal advice or reading can really make it sink in. Well done Mary!
hold on @@ThisMessyHappy :D I need to know what that means!? Is it keeping an eye on your HR all the time? (and what's that golden number) how do you not run out of gas at the end? I ran 3 marathons and have yet to feel that "well executed marathon" feeling
So, for anyone who remembers me and my botched first race ever (heart rate shot up to 200 right in the middle of it, had to walk the rest but finished): I actually have an arrhythmia diagnosis AND surgery scheduled for September 4th. Finally. After that I hope to finally be able to consistently train and I couldn't have done ANY of it without you, Ben and Mary. You made me decide I'm a runner and I'll do whatever it takes to make running happen. After having suffered with this dang tachycardia for 30 years. THANK YOU! This video is just what I needed... one day I WILL finish a marathon. 🏃🏻♀️💨
Oh I got quite emotional watching you cross the finish line!! I know what that feels like when you finally get your time. Loved everything about this. Well done ❤
As someone who has 'completed' two marathons but not 'run' one yet, I actually kinda love the fact a person who makes content about running as successfully as you still hadn't. Very inspiring. Thank you!
You guys are amazing. The love and the joy between the two of you. Really beautiful. And then the top performance of the both of you. WAUW !! I watch the video at 11:00 am on the 27 of August. You run the marathon on the 27th. Incredible how you managed to put the video already on the channel. Thank you, I’m a big fan and the both of you are a big inspiration for me and my daughter, we just start running (again)
Great run! Wish you a great run in Boston too! Thanks for leting us be part of your joy! And learning tons of things too! Now ... I'm going out for my long run ... with more energy!
Congratulations Mary on the age group win, the negative split and the BQ -- I have run 11 marathons and have never negative split (or won my age group) so I know how hard that is to do at a significant pace. Boston is a blast and hope to see you in April. Good luck in NYC too.
Congrats Mary🤗👏 Amazing race, amazing support and very nice race video. Can't wait for my next race💪You guys are just inspiring, wonderful couple, and also, full off grit. I love all your content and thanks for sharing it with us🙌🙏
Oh, congrats Mary! I am so disappointed that I didnt register for that race in my city (as I just flew back into the country last night) - so bummed to have missed you both but great seeing Samila beach (Songkla) in your video. One day I will bump into you, hopefully. All the best for NY!
Congrats Mary!! and Ben. Great job!!! Now that ya'll are coming to the States for New York and now Boston, if you have time, stop by Texas...it's just around the corner 😅
I love your running tandem guys! I just had my first Marathon too last August 27, 2023 at Bohol International Marathon here in the Philippines. Wohooo. Also, you guys seem don't ever felt tired at running with that fast pace. Whaaaa. Kudos to the both of youuuu!
Huge congratulations to Mary 🎉 Absolutely smashed it & a PB alongside!! Amazing stuff! And of course a big 🫡 to Ben as always! Best of luck when Boston rolls around! 💪🏽
One of the biggest lessons I've learned watching your videos is how much it helps to be in it together. If I want to get better I need to find my Mary ❤
Well done Mary and Ben. It is the best when all the training comes together for one day. I have experienced the highs and lows of race day. Good luck in Boston. Looking forward to the vlog on it.
Mary is UNREAL. Who had the idea to do this marathon between the both of you, what a brilliant one. Taking a sudden cal to do it, knowing you are fit enough for it of course, takes so much pressure off. And what a race Mary has run. A special video.
Well done :) The NY marathon includes about half the road round Central Park. If you need a 10k warm up run, the road all the way round the park is a very nice one :)
Congrats Mary! you did great, the team work was wonderful. Both of you are very inspirational and i absolutely love how positive you both are. I really like how you said in a separate video that you're so proud of your strong legs. Please keep these great videos coming.
Love it. training and running for a marathon is a process. I have yet to run a marathon and have everything go right :( but patience and consistency i hope will change things
I love you guys, I was emotional watching Mary smash her BQ and get a PB at the same time, I did the same in Manchester 2022, ran 3:20 at age 52, a new PB and a Boston BQ of -5mins and did Boston in this April 2023 this year.... I so much want to go back.... MADE UP FOR YOU BOTH X
I just rewatched this video as it’s one year on and saw your comment at the top! Thank you so much and your times are so inspiring! Hopefully I’ll get to 3:20 too 🙏🏼
I'm so proud of you Mary!!! I'm such a super fan. You're truly an aspiration . I'm preparing for a half marathon in November and love your channel!! ❤ from Trinidad 🇹🇹 I can also relate to your humidity runs as we experience something similar here🎉
CONGRATULATIONS on an outstanding race Mary! One day I want to experience a race run with such calm, control, and without the gel shower! It would be great to cheer for both of you in Boston in April 2024!
Mary you have been such an inspiration in my journey. Just returned to running last Nov and did a marathon in June. I need to knock over an hour off my time to BQ but I'm hoping in 18 months I'll get there. Keep the inspiration coming!
Both of you have been integral to me getting back to running again. Kudos Mary for the BQ and PB. So motivating, I'm training for a Half Marathon at the end of September I've used your training guide as a template, I'm super confident in the training plan. Thank you both, for being awesome ❤
