I had to watch it multiple times. Watch her face, arms, legs, dancing separately. You can see the song intensity in each part of her body. Amazing performer.
@@AshleySmith-rm2bl Yes I agree. Most performers start out doing remakes to become noticed. I like her original stuff like "Desire' and "Numb". Both underrated and excellent. Her live version of "Desire" isn't bad and at least she plays an instrument. Most "faux-musicians" today rely on Auto-tune and other effects.
Her voice is amazing and that haircut is supreme. There's something about how professional musicians are, it's so fascinating to me the creation and abilities. This cover is great.
I love her intensity. I can’t get enough of her music but this cover is stuck on repeat! Not to mention the artistic creativity with the music video. And she’s incredible live!
I love her voice! She uses her lower register vocals beautifully! That is a style CHER use to use a lot. It was a distinctive quality that scored CHER many hits. It doesn't work with every song however.
I wonder what breathing techniques Meg Myers uses for when she sings. Having control of your breath is important when it comes to singing, especially doing vocal exercises before singing.
Check out "Desire" or "Numb". Excellent originals. Yes I agree. Most performers start out doing remakes to become noticed. I like her original stuff like "Desire' and "Numb". Meg ....., a 100 thumbs up sweet heart! Kate Bush must be very proud of this rendition. You might be even better than her? Again excellent job. I first heard this on a radio station in San Diego. I was very impressed. Greetings from La Crescenta,Ca.
No idea how I'm now just running across Meg Myers, nothing about this performance that isn't awesome. She's so in to this there's nothing in the world that could pull her off that stage, nothing fake about this performance.
The more I see this the more I hate it. At first, this is cool and different. After 50 or so listens, she's butchered it. Why does she sing it so aggressively? Why does she do that weird deep thing with her voice? Why does she reach for an invisible holster? I really liked this version, but after some time I found myself mocking her singing throughout the day, yelling aggressively "YOU WON'T BE UNHAPPY!!!" and doing the "You wouldn't hurt me!!!" in her strange voice. At the end she says it's hard to sing because it's so intense. It doesn't need to be that intense though! She makes it unnecessarily intense.
@Dan Ellis could you imagine her in bed🤐🤐 making all those same wierd faces and mannerisms that she does on stage... With that low voice and screams of murder😂😂
@@robbyx6846 Lol she's always paid her respects to Kate Bush and anyone with a brain would know it's a cover and not Meg's original song. Not once has she claimed the song to be hers and Meg has many other popular songs. In order for her to produce and monetize from her cover, she likely got permission from Kate Bush and her team as well. It's not considered a "rip off" because she did not change the lyrics and kept the integrity of the song, just adding her style of singing to it. I suggest you learn how the music industry works and comprehend the concept of a "cover".
@@DolphLundgrensDolphinDungeon Triggered because I'm responding to a comment falsely accusing a singer of "ripping off" a song, despite it being a cover? And that somehow relates to anime?
Meh... I like her older stuff better. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but most performers start out doing remakes to become noticed. I like her original stuff like "Desire' and "Numb". Both underrated and excellent. Her live version of "Desire" isn't bad and at least she plays an instrument. Most "faux-musicians" today rely on Auto-tune and other effects.
It was not 100% she sounds good but inaccuracies in her vocal patterns when live and thats good because its authentic when you can hear slight changes. The mic only has a slight reverb effect but thats an echo effect for certain notes
