I know this song is becoming popular again because of Stranger Things, I personally haven't seen it because it's not my kind of show. But I've always been a huge fan of the Placebo version that they did with Kate Bush. And I feel this hits similar. I love it.

I have to say, I've never heard of Kate Bush before now. The vocalist I usually associate this song with is Sharon den Adel of Within Temptation. This has their aesthetic and general gothic/supernatural feel. Fun fact, Kate's song has been at the top of the charts in three different decades... In the 80s after she released it, in 2012 when it was played during the London Olympic cermomies, and in the 2020s from Stranger Things

That was probably one of the most unique covers of this song I have heard - and I have been a Kate Bush fan for 30 years. You really put your own stamp on it and made it Halocene. I'm gonna have to listen to it a few more times because it really is so different. It's impressive.

Whether you're going through a bereavement, generalised emotional highs and lows, or some other strife, the effects music has on people is palpable and easily seen even from the most superficial of glances. As is right now I'm so emotionally tired and burned out right now, sometimes a good song is the only reason I continue walking forwards.

I can’t believe the one time in about six years I’m not in Tennessee (for an out of state physical therapy program; it’s life changing!) you guys are touring and coming right to the area I frequent! Uggghhhh!!! I know I’m doing what I’m supposed to, that I’ll be healthier and happier for doing this, and better able to finish college and work on getting to be a mom. But I do wish I could see you!!! Rock on! I’m not a huge fan of the original song, but you really made me fall in love with this! It’s so atmospheric, YET I can actually understand what you’re saying. 😂 And I love the sound of the drums. Then when Brad comes in and all the intensity comes in, wow! My only wish is that it was longer! I’ve had Repent and Mirror (and of course Vita Nova) on repeat the last few weeks but this is being added to the rotation as soon as I get my paws on it!
