I've always wondered what ever happened to Rupert Holmes. Bought the album in 1979, loved it, nearly wore it out. Then didn't hear him on Casey Kasem's top 40 countdown anymore. Nice to see he had a good life. 👵☮️🖖 ❤🍹

"Escape (The Pina Colada Song)" was the last number 1 song of the 1970's.

Just listened to his interviews on the Gilbert Gottfried podcast and never knew he was so funny! Love ya Holmie and RIP to Gilbert.

He also wrote the song you've got it all and let the Jets make it huge. Holmes wrote it for his 10-year-old daughter Wendy but she never got to hear it become a hit, as prior to its release she died suddenly of an undiagnosed brain tumour.[

First time I heard Escape(The pina colada song) in Shrek. The greatest song Rupert Holmes has ever done.

When I think of Rupert Holmes, I think of his television series "Remember WENN". I love it much more than that silly pop song.

I want to congratulate Rupert Holmes for proving that anyone can do anything at any time. The fact that in the seventies, he performed on some of the same stages as many of my favorite musicians, proves this. Heck, I could be the first man on Pluto. Watching him was like watching a hemorrhoid ectomy.

Hardly 'opened up about the novel'. Barely talked about it.
