I don’t know why but I love when people turn things into a dance. Games? Songs? (in the context of books/movies) Battles? Wars? It just makes it so much cooler to me.
@Javier Bravo a quick Google search says, "Ken". Probably because katana is a type of sword. I think you have to fold the metal like a 100 times or something?
@Javier Bravo That's just a poor translation, a katana is a kind of sword in the same way as a rapier. Ken is the Japanese word for sword and Kendo is the Japanese martial art focusing primarily on sword fighting which I think is what the original commenter was thinking of
@@VeProducctions there is also the word tō used for sword, for example shotō which means short sword. Either way I think katana could be translated as a sword since well, it is one. People in those times just called them swords, they didn’t have a specifications so I don’t think it’s a grave mistake for translating it that way.
@@josku5 They absolutely had specifications for sword differentiation back then in the same way we differentiate guns now. A quick dive down the wiki shows that kens predate katanas by almost 5 centuries and that while katanas are a two-handed, one edge, straight blade emphasizing straight forceful cuts the ken was more like a roman gladius. It isn't an egregious mistranslation, especially since the sword in question was probably based off a katana since it was Japanese anime
@@GoldRustt I listen to music as I walk my dogs and now automatically count 16th notes in my head and walk in time with the music, it really is a curse lol
Man, this stuff really is so cool. We truly are living in the future. I can't even begin to imagine where video games/VR will be 20, 50, 100 years from now(assuming we haven't gone Mad Max by then.) This is the kind of stuff we were promised as kids was always, "right around the corner."
I play beat saber myself. I see a lot of ppl r fighting over how easy it is to do. It is easy. But she’s so good because of how effortlessly she’s moving tbh. Yes she did miss 3 (two at the same time in the beginning and one a couple seconds after) but she’s still good and she’s getting there. Edit: lemme just say that I’m supporting this girl. I’m not putting her down. I’m saying she’s good. To the ppl that are replying to me saying that I’m being cocky or arrogant, I’m literally not. She’s not perfect. Neither am I or anyone. So pls stop giving me hate for my opinion
@@danteloparco6708 yeah bro totally you can just hear the high horse in "she's getting there" @autumnlael Bro she's incredible at this. She's probably better than you and if she's not, she's definitely doing more for the game than you are
@@TheDapperDirk first of all… I never said she was better than me. Secondly… do u even play the game? Do u actually know how easy it is once u have the pattern?
@@jlospubes9590 how do you get sexism from just feeling satisfied and anxious at the same time? how? satisfied because she actually hit the notes and anxious because she almost missed a couple, that's the reason i'm guessing OP felt that way, there's nothing to do with gender in that
Bruh she does this constantly pretty sure she a streamer. If you could stand in your apartment 12 hours a day playing beat Sabre you’d get filthy at it too lmao
I just can’t get over how elegant she looks, MY GOD edit: this comment quickly turned into a dumpster fire , but it's partly my fault for badwording . i meant THE MOVEMENTS were elegant the way she's swinging the ''sword'' is really impressive . imagining it with a proper prop sword it would look amazing . ps. anyone calling guys simps for complimenting a girl , are losers who think that men only want sex from women . and can't be nice to a woman or impressed by her skills .kinda unrelated but when i looked up female basketball players for a projet the top resalte was a ''hottest athletes article'' , which like wtf.
@@Rationa_l I never copied anything on purpose and if so tell me then I’ll look at it and delete mine, I wrote that from heart it was just a coincidence that we thought some what of the same thing.
It's interesting that beat saver is seen as impressive... Lol. Somebody that's an actual drummer sit down and play this game for once. For real you don't need to be standing you can go faster seated. I had the money to afford VR I would probably be the best beat saber person in the world. Got to love those drummer hands
@@Og_paine I mean, if you're this good at Beat Saber, you need very good reaction time and hand eye coordination. Let alone the fact that even though the controllers aren't as heavy as swords, still a good arm workout. So in something like fencing they would be decent enough.
Well they'd probably only be better than the average person, their light sabers don't have weight or an edge they need to think about, and as for form their wide swings would put them in danger of attacks and counters, I kinda want to see how a professional swordsmen would play this game.
I swear, the way she moves and swings the sabers could literally put her in a game as a final boss. edit: stop with the "hrugrhrughr simp haha lolol" comments. since when is complimenting a girl youtubers' beat saber skills "simping"?
For those who don't play rhythm games, misses do not matter unless you're specifically going for leaderboard. All that matters is passing, and if you go for rank like most players, accuracy.
Agreed! I will never forget what my friend in HS said when he introduced me to rhythm games. "Don't be anxious if you miss a note. Recover, and just try to hit the next one." Honestly works as an advice for life too.
